Gusto Bakery Strathmore

After doing some research to find a good bakery to try on the weekend this one had the best reviews/rating.
Walking in you'll notice possibly the cleanest shop you've ever walked into. I was also greeted by the friendly staff who are polite and willing to offer advice about their offerings.
We shared the sausage roll, mince and cheese pie, pepper steak pie and a custard donut.
The sausage roll had tiny bits of onion but was a little to "wet" for my liking. This made the roll squishy without any real bite.
The cheese and mince pie was cold, but the flavours were OK.
The pepper steak pie was filled with chucks of steak, but it lacked gravy and only had a slight peppery taste.
The custard donut was filled with delicious custard but the donut itself was slightly doughy.
There isn't anything wrong with this bakery but my search will continue to find my "local" bakery.

Does Brumbys and BD really have a place in yiur life when an authentic and delicious bakery like this exists in your neighbourhood? It's classic and it's high-quality and affordable!

Super delicious bakery! Really, yummy treats and heaps of parking out the front. Generally, it's a good experience. I'll definitely return as the food was very fresh and tasty. I had the chicken and vegetable pasty, which I'd highly recommend.

Normally a good experience. But explosive diarrhea on Saturday night made me regret my steak and potato pie lunch.

Never again.

You pay $4 for a tiny lemon tart but it's worth every cent. This is close to the best baker in the district. Quiches outstanding and everything you want to impress from meat pies to birthday cakes.

Fantastic french vanilla slice. Also had a sausage roll which was really nice. Great range of cakes, slices, pies, sausage rolls and bread and it opens early!

This is one of the best bakeries. Love the service from the ladies inside. Highly recommend the small iced and cinnamon donuts, the lamington cake, apply pie, vanilla slice and the sausage rolls and pies.

I love it. Delicious cakes, plenty of choices and great gluten-free options. They're pricey but worth every bit of it.

Top quality bakery in North West Melbourne. Surely one of the best Vanilla Slices in Victoria along with some amazing savoury bakes (Chicken & Pine nuts + Steak & Mushroom in the photo). Good coffee as well!

There’s a reason there’s a queue here on a Sunday morning! Great coffee, pastries and sweets. Absolutely gorgeous! Staff are lovely too!

We ordered 40 donuts for our daughters birthday party. The staff were so accommodating and easy to deal with, our order was ready on time and so fresh and delicious! Thank you Gusto:)

Best jelly slices in the whole country, 100%.
The only problem is with the staff.
New staff are not trained and like today the bags are wrapped so firmly around the box the top paper sits on the jelly
I don’t drive 40mins each way to have soggy paper on my jelly.

We discovered by chance Gusto this morning ️, My husband bought the 3 croissants LEFT at 8 am! And 1 pain au chocolat (, Yes we are French) and we don't call this" croissant au chocolat" (as Croissant is the shape of the moon) Absolutely delicious. Perfect. A bit crunchy ourside and very light. Congrats. We will be back.to try other things or order croissant for the next day as we rarely go early.

Every time I am looking for a treat I am keen on a pie from gusto and a pink donut! Nothing beats them!

Love Gusto. Delicious every time, whether it's the cakes, vanilla slices, sausage roll or pies, and so well-priced. They are my go to for a quick bday cake or some desserts to bring to dinner. And the lovely service every single time ️️

One of the best bakeries in the area.large variety of pies, pasties and snausage () rolls. Quiches, cakes, cakes cakes.coffees, teas, cold drinks.great staff.

The pies here are yum!

If you're anything like me, you're looking to know what the pies are like; so I had to open with that. Good meat, good flavour, nice flaky pastry, well cooked and fresh rounds all day. They do a tonne of take home family/party pies in the front fridge too.

Bonus points for fantastic customer service. I swear being friendly makes the pies taste better. I'll be back for another pie soon!
