Gunnamatta Trail Rides

Great ride, 2 ladies were lovely, friendly and encouraging. Highly recommended. By far one of the best trail rides we have done. Will be back.

My partner and I had a fantastic time! Mel and Mia were such awesome hosts and guided us really well all the way throughout the trail. Gave us really helpful tips and we're very kind to us, even when at the stables everyone was really nice.
Of course be prepared to be weighed and it be noted to ensure the safety for the horses and they aren't lying when they tell you, your legs will hurt

The beach trail was only roughly 20mins on the beach but we did stop for a nice photo op, most of the trail was mostly going through the bush which was pretty cool in itself.

The horses are very well trained with gentle manners, perfect for beginners. The beach ride was breathtaking and the staff offered to take photos of riders on the beach for no extra cost.

Thank you so much guys my daughter had been asking for a horse trail ride for years and she finally was able to do it, she had so much fun, she was a little scared to trot but the instructors made sure to help her so she could get the hang of it. We had beautiful Poncho and Chewy and they were the absolute sweetest souls.

If you’re hoping to have that amazing feeling of cantering on the beach, better to rethink this trail.
Canter on the beach isn't allowed anymore for conservation purposes and I don't think this is a bad thing. I completely understand and agree with it but the website should contain this information so expectations are aligned with reality. (Very disappointing, as per website advanced riders can enjoy trot and canter along the way). A canter stride has never happened. Also disappointed when we got to the beach and we walked for a few meters along the water and found our way back.

In my opinion, the website should present a more realistic description of the ride. This is a beginner's trail, great for families with kids. You won't control the pace of your horse since the guide will set the pace. You won't ride any canter strides on the beach.

I booked back in October didn't receive a confirmation of my booking had to call to confirm and then they advise no sorry we are not doing those trail rides at that time. I wish I was told from last year as this was an anniversary gift.

Very professional well run outfit, we hadn't been riding for twenty years but felt extremely safe and thoroughly enjoyed our ride on the beach. Thankyou to all the staff ️️

Extremally unprofessional customer service, nothing was explained by the person who took my call when I rescheduled. I was told to read the 2 pages long conditions which I don't think many people will nowadays. Extremally aggressive on the phone, everyone has bee effected by COVID in some ways, being a nurse myself my work has been very unpredictive that made me have no choice but to reschedule. If I had to pay for $50 reschedule fee I would, but the way customer service was presented on the phone leave me with no choice but to write this review!

Lovely horses and friendly staff at Gunnamatta Trail rides. Many thanks to Marg who is a great teacher and my 9 Year old daughter thoroughly loved her riding lessons. Definitely can recommend both trail rides and riding lessons.

UPDATE: Total and utter lies. No one yelled or abused you at all. Telling lies to defend your terrible customer service is another low. I’m actually shocked at the lack of accountability and to tell lies now is so bizarre. I also don’t have a daughter so your story is also rather distorted…Again, warning to all: Do not even bother.

Do not spend your money here, what a nightmare. I cannot believe how nasty the staff are, no compassion and just plain rude. We booked a ride through Klook- a booking agent that Gunammata trail rides uses. Booking was confirmed and we were excited to ride, I then get a call from Gunamatta saying that the ride is actually fully booked and we can’t ride. I asked for a refund and was rudely informed by Susan that it wasn’t their problem and that I should take it up with Klook. I got no response from Klook after several attempts- they finally said Gunammatta was withholding the funds. Imagine that- withholding money from customers when you haven’t even fulfilled the service! I contacted Gunamatta and got another cold response from Bhevin saying again it was not their problem even though they had our $. All we wanted to do was horse ride. Nothing more than that. I want direct this last bit to Susan who seems to lack any sort of empathy. Just be kinder to people, it’s not that hard. Your nastiness was uncalled for.

The horses are well trained, staff are very welcoming and informative. Great for beginners. Riding along the beach was an awesome experience! Thanks everyone.
