Guide Dogs Victoria reviews
31I will no longer support Guide dogs Victoria after becoming another stooge for the Liberal Party!
What a disgrace that the CEO of an organization whose purpose is to help disabled people is endorsing a member of the party trying to cause the most damage and hardship to disabled people.
Political promotions are not what I would expect from a charity like this.
No more from my family.
Guide Dogs Victoria CEO Karen Hayes has violated the charter for charities by appearing on a poster and endorsing a political candidate and suggesting that the organisation also supports that candidate
The CEO is publicly supporting Josh Frydenburg - not sure my donations should be used in this manner, and an abrogation of the non-political role of any charity.
Guide Dogs Victoria aligning themselves politically has permanently ruined the solid reputation of an long established charity. Where do the donations really go? Now a grubby business that blatantly operates outside the law, including the laws of decency.
A real pity for the low vision people the CEO and board that put her there are supposed to be serving instead of themselves.
If the Ceo doesn't resign, then they have forever tarnished the charities name by politicising it
Don't let one individuals actions (which were not reflective of the Guide Dogs and has been appropriately dealt with by the board) take anything away from the life changing work and service they provide for disabled community.
Guide Dogs Victoria CEO Karen Hayes publicly endorses the Liberal party utilising her position and the name of Guide Dogs Victoria. This is disgraceful. To regain integrity GDV need to sack Karen Hayes to restore trust in their integrity as an honourable organisation.
Absolutely appalled that Guide Dogs Victoria has become a mouthpiece for the Liberal Party. This is a charity organisation not a political tool.
I used to admire your organisation, but no charity should use its goodwill to promote a political party. Shocking.
Am very saddened to remove my support from guide dogs Victoria. Have done so for many years especially as family member has received services. But astonished to see political partisanship and electioneering become part of the organisation and coming from the top. This is damaging to both democracy and to the special privileges charities have. My donations may well have helped print the leaflets. Not where my money should go. My trust is this organisation is lost.
All you Karens and Darrens leaving 1 star reviews need to get a life. This charity has done nothing but good for the community. The actions of one does not define all. Delete your reviews and direct you efforts into something more positive.
Really sad that this charity openly sides and endorses one side of politics over the other. I’ve consistently given to GDV over the years, but I won’t contribute to a charity with political leanings. I had a scheduled fundraising drive planned to help GDV through my business, but I’ve emailed to cancel already. Terrible practice for a charity, and an obviously corrupt ceo
The CEO trying to use her company’s platform to support candidates in elections.
This is where your donations are going!
Be respectful of people's wishes and DO NOT harass them with spam. A one-time donation on good faith is absolutely no excuse to inundate people with your pointless raffle emails and calls, blatantly ignore their multiple requests to stop. A surprisingly disgusting and completely unprofessional organisation. Be better.
An awesome place where puppies getting trained for the ones with special needs.
Hats off to all the staff working there.
I was recently here with my employer for a team building day, and I can say that Guide Dogs Victoria certainly nailed it! They truly gave us sensory experience of what it could be like to have low vision and it definitely hits you in the heart when you hear some of the stories and lives at they transform with the services they offer, not only through guide dogs themselves, but also through advice and additional services for those who need it most in our community
So very grateful for the support and guidance my husband received from Guide Dogs and in particular, Amy O'Reilly. Amy has helped him regain so much independence and confidence.
