Arrived at opening time. They were late to open. The person opening didn’t know how to turn off the alarm for a while.

I was there to visit St Vincent’s Pathology. The pathologist was extremely slow - I was third in the queue and was only seen 50 minutes after opening. The pathologist was also incompetent - she commented on my pronounced veins, but took 3x attempts to actually take a blood sample.

That receptionist Vicki is a grumpy mole who makes every patient uncomfortable whenever talking to her. No people skills whatsoever.

I only added an extra star because receptionist Hailey and Dr Wes are amazing at what they do.

Great Customer Service by Receptionists. Hayley goes above and beyond with her Customer support. Dr Wesley is a Professional who listens and discusses all issues of his Clients in detail. Can highly recommend this Medical Clinic will not go anywhere else.

4 months ago I wrote a review and my GP before he left for another Point Cook location and new doctor, Dr Dae is also amazing as he spent extra minutes not to just diagnosed your issues but makes you feel comfortable. Most of all always on time. I like Guardian Highpoint as its so easy to park. So I hope Dr Dae stays there. And still waiting for a lady doctor for my wife.

Hayley in the reception is absolutely amazing, she’s always so cheerful and helpful. She always makes me and my family feel so welcome. Dr Wesley is also amazing, helping my family in any way he can, he definitely really cares about his patients! Such a great clinic, would definitely recommend.

I have been with Guardian Medical for about 8 years and the service was good.

However, since the new management took over the receptionists are rude and incompetent. For example.

Today, I received a call from them saying I missed my appointment. Now that was ok, but then the receptionist said can you come in now.

I said, "I will be there in 20 mins". She then said, "appointments are in 30 min blocks, so I would have to make another appointment in two weeks".

I then said, why did you ring me to say.

1. I have missed my appointment, which from my own experiences is (highly irregular) medical offices never ring to say you have missed an appointment.

2. When I said I can be there in 20 mins, she then changed tact and said, I have too re-book for two weeks time.

Now I can only summise that, Guardian Medical are only really interested in the money they can make.

Receptionists seem to have been instructed to be ruthless with no reasonable duty of care for patients. It's now all about "Time is Money"

Relocating from Perth to Melbourne and after third month I need to see a GP near my home and this one does, after reading the reviews I hesitated a bit but hell, just try it.and I was happy with my doctor, Dr Salman and Hayley the receptionist nothing but gave the most friendliest service to me. And Avril the lab technician was also super friendly and did the best with the needle. I didn't even feel the needle. And ample parking either at the surgery itself or just across the Highpoint SC.

I always research places where I am visiting, where to park and where is the entrance. And the appointment is always on-time and even when I arrived early I was seen 10 minutes before the appointment! My GPs in Perth where I have to wait 20-35 minutes later. So keep up the good work Guardian Highpoint!

Let's just say I would never visit this place again willingly. Total rip off and greed. My employer booked myself and a colleague in for our influenza vaccines today. Reluctantly I agreed to go here instead of my usual GP or even local pharmacy that I usually visit for my yearly vaccination as my employer said he always books staff vaccinations through this place and would reimburse us the cost of the vaccine. Thinking that it would be basically a stress-free experience where I go in, show my Medicare card, get jabbed with a needle, pay $25 bucks and leave, the experience was expensive and totally painful. I arrived from the Rosamond Rd entrance just to find that door locked, with no signage directing people to the 'correct' entrance. The fact that the door was locked and the signage on the window still advertised Dr Jan Chmelewski as a practitioner here (although he retired years ago) shows amazing care even before you walk through the door (full sarcasm intended). When I finally walked around to the correct entrance and went to reception, I was asked the reason for my visit and then sent straight back outside again to wait in the freezing cold for my turn. As I stepped outside, a voice behind me called my name. I turned and re-entered the clinic where I was led to a room with a nurse. The man who had called me remained standing and literally asked me 3 questions- any allergies, had I had the flu injection before, and health issues. Told me it may cause fever and to take some panadol and left me with the nurse who was lovely enough but proceeded to stab me with a needle (my arm still hurts and feels bruised). I was then told to go to reception, pay and then wait OUTSIDE the clinic in the freezing cold again for 10 minutes just in case I had an allergic reaction (!) Funnily enough the next frustrating 5 minutes was spent with Reception as when I went to pay I nearly fell over! $25 for the vaccine (this part is ok) but an additional $55 for a doctor consultation. Are you serious? I didn't see a doctor! But did you speak to the doctor? , the receptionist asked. I said for like a second as he is the one who called me into the clinic and told me stuff that the nurse was more than capable of asking (as do the pharmacists that have administered my vaccine in the past in a pharmacy). Wow! To make issues worse, apparently I couldn't even get a medicare rebate processed as they said there was an issue with my card! (No one has had an issue with my card before and it doesn't expire for another 4 years!) I just paid and got the hell out of there and it hit home why I will never set foot in this place again! On another note, when my colleague, unbeknown to them, visited for his vaccine about 40 minutes later, they charged him $85 for a consultation. Insanity at it's finest. Moral of the story? If you need a flu vaccine stay far far away from this place. Not even sure if what they did today is even legal!

Hayley at the front desk was extremely helpful in advising me how to resolve a medical issue without getting an immediate appointment. She was also really upbeat, engaged and efficient. Thanks

The receptionist here is rude and need to be retrained. The customer service I received was appalling and unacceptable.
This morning, after receiving Pfizer vaccine, I asked front desk a simple medical proof as required by my employer. The lady refused my request. Asked me wait to see their doctor to get it without asking me. Is it too hard to her to learn what is the respect? Or if it is because of my color? I wonder.

I've been going here for years seeing Dr Wesley and hes been a GREAT doctor. When he isnt available i have no issues seeing the other doctors at the clinic. I have been constantly seeing doctors for my medical issues for over a decade now and am very quick to jump on their mistakes and ensure theyre corrected, but have never had to with anyone in this place.

Understand your doctor is there for you and be nice everytime! They work under pressure every day and have to start over with a smile with every appointment and patient. I am grateful to be a part of this clinic family with my children as patients for many years now. Through thick and thin, outside work hours, emergencies, everything in between, they have always been there for us. My children love that when we come in they know us all by name and so do the wonderful pharmaceutical staff next door.
Reception know us and always have a lovely chat. Love all the staff.

On friday I was walking into the entrance of the medical centre and I heard Dr nirmal rudely speaking to the receptionist. I dont think its something that should be done in front of patients hence the 2 stars, its pretty unprofessional but apart from that the staff were lovely and helpful.

Since my main doctor here retired I'll have to look elsewhere

My previous Gp was a great listener and would always take care of my situations with my past medical history in mind. Since he has gone my doctor seems to just throw tablets at you without any consideration for my medial conditions and at times just prescribes tablets rather than looking into the issue at hand.

The staff are fantastic as is the pharmacy but I don't know how long I'll stick around because of the convenience and customer service of the pharmacy.
