Guardian Early Learning - Richmond reviews
24Brilliant centre - the carers always go the extra mile and take great care of the kids. The centre management is fantastic and runs a fantastic childcare centre. We have loved being a part of this community.
My son Darcy has been going here for just under a year. The team at this daycare is extraordinary. They care a tremendous amount and work so hard to make sure he’s slept the right amount at the right times, dietaries are met and he’s had an eventful, exciting day full of learning.
Inside is like a kids wonderland with frogs, turtles, light room, endless games and activities and multiple outdoor areas. It’s really great.
He always excited for daycare days - what more can you ask for.
Thank you team for everything you do. You’re all heros.
My kid (18 months) has been to a nearby centre rated Excelling (for 3 months) and this one (for 6 months). And this centre is infinitely better. If you're looking for a loving and kind group of professionals to cuddle and care for your baby, then this is the place. The nursery staff create the most beautiful happy environment and they foster friendships between all the babies and toddlers. My child has learned all types of songs, dance moves, words, and new skills. The previous centre, which was smaller, always had random casual relief staff, but here the three regular nursery staff are almost always there and if someone is away then an educator the kids know from another area fills in. This continuity creates a sense of calm for kids and parents alike. The centre manager walks the talk when it comes to child-centred care. Can't recommend this nursery enough.
The Richmond Guardian centre is located in a fabulous open-plan space. The outside area is very large and allows for lots of great outdoor play. The centre is located on a busy road however there is no road noise inside the centre. I think this centre may be overlooked due to its location however it is on a train line and not far from the city so it should advertise this fact. The past year has been a time of staff stability which is welcomed. We have also had a new manager and I suspect that her management style has significantly contributed to staff retention. The centre is also responsive to feedback and queries. I am also very happy with the kinder program and the activities and experiences offered by the centre such as the exercise class. I am also looking forward to new initiatives such as a language class, cooking, gardening etc.
The staff here are amazing! From the moment we went to the centre to view it, we instantly knew this was the place for us. We always feel like our son is so well looked after. Every morning and afternoon the staff have a smile on their face and are always so welcoming to our family. Would highly recommend it and in actual fact, have recommended it to several people.
We love attending Guardian. The staff are super welcoming and friendly. Great care taken. Thanks
Finally a childcare centre that is well run! The carers are amazing and so knowledgeable.but it really feels like this is a really well organised place. I think that’s the difference. The employees seem so happy to do their job and know what they are doing. I’m so glad I finally found guardian Richmond! Thank you for looking after my little ones!
My daughter has been attending Guardian Richmond since she was 11 months. She’s now in 4 year old kinder. Guardian has been a fabulous start for her learning and development. Some teachers have been at the centre for her duration at the Centre. So nice for her to have that constant familiarity. Guardian have been through a couple of management changes and can confidently say that current management is the dream team! The teachers, curriculum, daily meals are all at the highest standard. Will be sad to leave at the end of the year when my daughter starts big girl school in 2022. Little one will miss all her buddies and her teachers a lot!
The staff at Guardian Richmond are all lovely and I trust they are providing my son with the highest level of care. The facilities are also terrific - large, open spaces with lots of outdoor facilities. My son loves helping with the gardening, playing in the sandpit and with numerous animal and dinosaur toys.
Thank you to the most amazing, hard working carers for looking after my little ones, they have loved attending this centre for 2 years. Yes, they do come home messy.but that's because they've been doing fun messy activities! Shout out to Ada in the babies room for giving my son unlimited cuddles when he needed them the most.
Poor, terrible Management centre! Very unprofessional, Same mistake over and over again! My son has left the center for more than eight months, Surprisingly they still debit fees out of my account, Great system you’ve done it again. Definitely not recommend for any new parents or anyone at all.

Great experience for our son and everyone at the centre is so helpful and friendly! Very happy with our choice.
My son has been attending the centre since almost 6 months now and he absolutely loves the space. It is an open plan facility, with loving carers and amazing activities which keep my almost 3 year old extremely engaged. Also, they have a fantastic variety of snacks and meals for the children- Love that!
Highly recommend the centre!
My daughter has been attending since Feb, It's a bit far for me to driver her to but I just can't imagine changing centres even though there are ones closer to me. My daughter and loves her educators so much. Every morning she wakes up to ask me. School day? And is so sad when I say no. Love the updates they give me when I pick up my daughter and she always happy when I pick her up. Thank's for all you guys do:)
My son and daughter both have attended Guardian for 4 months and I have nothing but good things to say. The staff there go above and beyond to understand my children’s individual needs. At the end of their days I always get a full and thorough report on what they’ve been up to. Highly recommend.
Loved this place! My son attended this centre for 2 years and also loved the place. The educators were all super friendly, nurturing and approachable and had a genuine love for the kids. Food was also delish and being able to have a coffee and breaky with the kids in the morning was a nice touch, as was the fruit bowl on offer at pickup time. Sadly, we relocated back to Perth and miss this place very much. I have toured 6 centres here and none of them compare. Keep up the good work Guardian)
Terribly managed centre! Very unprofessional and disrespectful in dealing with parents and their concerns. Emails and phone calls go days, and even weeks without a response. I would definitely not recommend for any new parents. Lots of better options available elsewhere.
It took me months to write a review on this.
My daughter went to this facility for six months. After my baby started getting bruises was the moment I gave up and took her out. She now goes to a less-expensive-no-glamourous childcare and she couldnt be more happier. And I couldnt be more satisfied.
As a working mother, its a nightmare to see your child getting sick every other day. I experienced hell when I put my LO here, she remained sick most of the time she was here. She remained dirty most of the time she was here. Everyday I would pick her up with a bag full of soiled clothes and a runny nose which was never wiped. Than she started getting bruises on her body/face/forehead which were never justified. Hear me, I do not believe that my baby was tortured but the educators were irresponsible. They never reported any issue to me. If my baby fell from somewhere or got a scratch or wound, I expect a notification from the center. One day she went home with a big wound on her knee. A week after a bruise on her face below her eye.
I will give 1 star to food. I'd always get impressed with the type of food my baby was fed. Fantastic.
Pros:
-Close to the city, hence convenient for many families
-Awesome quality of food
-Breakfast facility with the children in the morning
-Creative activities for children
Cons:
-Very expensive
-Lame leave policy. A child attending the center 4 days/week gets only 8 days of annual leave.
-Toilets inside the main room
-Dirty diaper basket out in the open, any toddler would put her hand in there easily. My baby got gastro numerous time
-Diaper changing station right in the middle of the room where kids are being fed
-No emphasis on kids personal cleaning. Wash their hands more often please
-Little kids have small play area outside
-All the 0-3 year old kids in one room (Either expand your rooms or stop taking so many kids)
-Incompetent educators; report every incident about children. If a child under your supervision gets hurt, its your responsibility to let parents know.
-Full fee deductions on public holidays, the cheaper ones deduct 50 percent on public holidays.
I want to let everyone reading this review know that I DO NOT hold any personal grudges against this center. I loved it that's why I put my baby in there even though it was very expensive for me. I started to regret it that's why I took her out. Its been three months my baby has joined a local childcare center. Her long days of illness are behind her. She is happy and healthy now. Did I mention my baby got a surgery of septic arthritis (caused by a bacteria) while she was attending the center. Did I mention I paid full fee for 2 weeks she stayed away in the hospital? Did I mention that I breastfeed my baby to this date?
The calibre of educators here is absolutely exceptional, fresh facilities and approach to learning is on par. I feel fortunate to have found this place, my daughter loves it and I wouldn't dream of putting her anywhere else. Am always impressed. One of the nicer touches is you can enjoy breakfast and barista coffee in the dining area in the mornings with your little one, it's a nice way to ease your toddler in to the day and get some extra moments with them.
