Ground Zero Cafe

Arrived to have coffee and was told to sit anywhere. There were 2 of us and we chose a 4 seater table. We were kindly asked to move to a 2 seater table, which we did. A gentleman arrived after us on his own and sat at a 4 seater table and wasn’t asked to move and there was a lady taking up a whole bench, who was also not asked to move. There was an apology made, but really lift your game as this is a very off putting experience for us. The slice we had tasted very “fridgy” and we couldn’t even eat it

This morning I visited for the first time ever.

Would like to thank the guy (he may of been the owner) who offered to carry my two coffee to my car while I had my hands full carrying my 10 week old baby. He even went out of his way to heat up the bottle for me then brought it to the car.

That service is definitely 10/10.
I’ve never had someone like this to offer me help.
I definitely appreciate it.

Loud music. Asked them to tirn it down, which they did. Minutes later, it was loud again. Very difficult to have a conversation.

Just wanted a egg and bacon toasted sandwich but no they can't make that only what's on the menu, is it too hard they have eggs bacon etc but couldn't be bothered

Always love going to GZ - great atmosphere and wonderful food. Plenty of options for non-coffee drinkers too - oat chai is a winner for me!

Stood around for ages at the wait to be seated sign.waist of time Just a simple acknowledgment or any eye contact not there

Tricky restaurant and very disappointed! I'm very regret having food in this restaurant.

I ordered ham and cheese toast kid menu as i can't eat the big portion. They charged me the full adult price without telling me that they don't do kid menu for adult and take off the avocado and some ingredient which is supposed to be in the menu without asking me and force me to pay for the full price. That's very unprofessional service.
Food itself is very salty.
Not worth paying 16 $ for that. I would like to get money back!

Not terrible but if you're asked to put a sugar in an iced coffee please understand this needs to be done with the expresso pour or it won't mix.

Actually the best coffee on the Bellarine, shout out to the main man on the machine, a master of his craft.

Service fine. Cook had burnt pizza base. May be a one off. Did not charge for pizza. Will return. Worth another go.

Perfect for a quick coffee and bacon egg roll to get you going or for something more substantial!

Enjoyed lunch here today with a friend. Coffee was great, friendly service and the Chicken Katsu sandwich was delish!

I just wanted to thank the amazing staff for catering to myself. I had gastric surgery and can only have liquids. This was my first time going out after surgery and l was super anxious but you guys just made me feel so much better. Offered me the chicken and sweet corn soup, blended it and even made sure l could take the rest home. You done an amazing job and will 100% be coming back

I love this place normally, they have great coffee and friendly staff but coming in this afternoon I was met with extremely abrupt and rude service which I absolutely do no appreciated. Everyone is under pressure at the moment with the current state of the world but your loyal, paying customers do not deserve to cop attitude with their coffee order. It’s supposed to be a stress free break from the day coming to visit you for a coffee and this was definitely not the case today. Very disappointing customer service.

Like always, great service with excellent food. Special was magnificent today, Penne with lamb meatballs and fetta.

This is a local hidden GEM! Food is AMAZING, EVERYTHING I've tried is DELICIOUS! You must try for yourself, our local go to for breakfast, lunch or brunch. Keep up your FANTASTIC work

We just moved to Drysdale from Port Melbourne and we were worried our 'lavish' cafe lifestyle wouldn't be the same, lol.
Pat and Grace are awesome, the food is amazing and the coffee superb. Our cafe lifestyle is in good hands.

Really friendly staff, very acomodating.the breakfast was amazing, we had the eggs Benedict WOW! Very yummy!
