Sat outside, all tables dirty. Asked waiter to wipe the table when I was ordering inside, his answer was ‘which one’
Staff seemed disinterested in customers, keener to chat amongst themselves, next to the sticky counter. Very disappointing, we were so pleased when it first opened. I really don’t know how they stay open!

Would highly recommend NOT going here unless you want salmonella! Ate here with family & friends for dinner, within 24 hours my sister in law was in the ER with severe gastro like symptoms, 48 hours later after being admitted to hospital turns out she has salmonella from the butter chicken ordered at the Groove Train Mernda. Absolutely disgraceful place, will not be eating there again and we will most definitely be telling anyone and anyone who will listen to avoid at all costs! Not a great way to start 2024 all thanks to the Groove Train Mernda

Fresh and friendly environment with a good menu. Enjoyed brunch and coffee. Will go again.

Thank you so much to the team who packed my Uber eats order. I ordered nachos and I wrote a note asking for pulled pork on the side and for it not to be warmed up, I have a busy work day and I’m not sure when I’ll even get a chance to eat. What was delivered exceeded expectations! I got individually packed condiments! The effort and thought is so appreciated! I can now eat at my leisure without it going cold and hard! I can also reuse the containers they have given me! Thank you! To add the food has always been delicious at the new Mernda store every time I have eaten in!

Second time here was amazing, first wasn't but it was only open for a day, second time the food was cooked amazing and the staff so friendly and providing

Went for Mother’s Day lunch today and the service was excellent and love the set up inside. We ordered Fettuccine carbonara and mushroom risotto and really under seasoned didn’t enjoy them at all. The platter Tasting favourites and the butter chicken was really nice and I would order tasting platter again.

I would never eat here again and don't recommend the place unless you want to get sick. Although the service was reasonable and we thought the food was OK, my friend and I went there for lunch and both ended up with food poisoning, after eack of us ordered and ate a mixed grill.

The restaurant was very clean, staff were friendly and the food was nice. I think they’ll do well in Mernda.

Ordered the chicken burger the chicken was very dry and burnt the chips was over cooked ordered the kids chicken tenders and chips again all over cooked.maybe they need another chef

It's ok, sadly with many places prices increase but service and quality either stays average or continues to suffer.

Had an impromptu visit tonight. Really impressed with the food, totally exceeded expectations. Quick and pleasant service, despite being pretty full. Will definitely be back.

I am writing to say how disappointed we were with our attendance to the Mernda restaurant on Saturday 29 April 2023 at 6pm.

Firstly, our table was not ready, even though we previously booked. We had to wait at least 10-15 minutes while other quests were removed from our table.

Secondly, the prices for food on the menu was ridiculous. I have never seen a chicken Parma over $30 before and when it arrived, it was not worth $23. The garden pizza, at $25 each, was a joke. It was basically a pizza base with rocket and broccoli on it. Bad form.

This is the most expensive restaurant in the area. You are competing with other eateries of better food and value. Billies Restaurant is within one km and is far cheaper, meals are bigger and much tastier. The Groove Train is not fine dining, so don’t charge like it is.

The staff were great. We cannot fault the staff or the manager, Anthony, whom we spoke to about our disappointment.

I can’t see this store being successful at this rate unless your prices reduce, the meals improve and the owners, whoever they are, support the hard working staff.

Great place in the neighbourhood. Should have some outdoor sitting as well as that's what we miss a lot in the area.

Nice spacious place to dine in. Food was delicious and big portions. They do allow to take home doggy bags. Service was good too.

Went in for breakfast on a Saturday morning. Very quiet. Ordered kids pancakes which were ok. Also ordered scrambled eggs on toast and poached eggs on toast. Both came out cold and bread wasn’t even toasted. Had to ask for butter and no water offered.
Always went to groove train at Greensborough plaza, never a problem. Wouldn’t go again.

Had a terrible experience at Groove Train Mernda. Went in for dinner at 7: 45PM and the staff began packing up the restaurant at 8: 10PM although their official closing time is 9PM. They were cleaning and stacking the chairs around us and we felt like sitting in the middle of their cleaning job, eating our food. Food was not bad but the Mojito I ordered was the worst I've ever tasted. We left without eating all our food and I'm never going back there again.

I had the Buffalo margarita pizza tasted frozen. And barely warm also very burnt.waitress wouldn’t no make eye contact no smile zero greeting
