Grilled & Fried Fish & Burger Bar

Just ordered through deliveroo, fish was the size of my hand I’ve never seen fish so small, food was burnt. I rand them and they said complain to deliveroo. Clearly they care

I've been here twice now and both times have left disappointed. I love myself some salt on my fish and chips but these guys season their food saltier than the Red Sea. After both meals I've had their I've felt like my tongue was sandpaper from the food. The salt & pepper calamari is awful and unfortunately comes in the seafood pack/fishermans basket. The chips are okay, but there's certainly better about. The batter that's used on the seafood is bad. Honestly, spent $30 on a seafood and chips pack here with a mate and 95% of the seafood went to the seagulls on the beach. I won't be back.

Great veggie burger, very filling. Chips a bit soggy but not too salty which was good. Yum potato cake. Cheap drinks. Overall pretty good!

It's never failed me yet. I like the variety, the burgers are beautiful. I love the honey mustard. Although it's not specified on the menu, they were still happy to make it, and again and again. Great customer service too.

I ordered medium chips that I asked to be crispy with chicken salt but they were nearly undercooked and had normal salt. The crab stick was soggy and undercooked but the south Melbourne dim sum was burnt, don’t know how that works? !
I live in Seaford and there are a lot of fish and chip stores but this one was open on a Monday. I am disappointed with the food each time I give them a go, hoping they may have improved. When I have ordered fish from them previously they never put lemon in, so if you do order fish with them don’t forget to ask for lemon or you won’t get any.

This was the most disgusting fish and chips I have ever had it was soggy and when we ate the fish it didn’t even look like fish but more like chicken as it was tough and chewy the scallops were RANK and the batter was soggy and didn’t even say on and I just couldn’t eat it we both thought it was unable to be eaten by us so the dog had big dinner, after calling them to tell how bad it was there response was oh sorry about that have a good night we will if we all don’t end up in the toilet all night.

2nd visit disappointed in potato cakes. Fish still just OK. Tried here because closer to home but will drive further to get all round better fish and chips

Crumbed fish! Decent crumbed fish is hard to find in Melbourne, but this place has it. Lovely spot to sit and have lunch, loved the music guys.

Seafood scallops where so big and juicy best I've had in a very long time. The Aussie burger was so delicious and fresh. Will return again

I bought flathead fillets, which were precooked and frozen then dropped in the oil for a few minutes to heat them up. These are exactly the same rubbish as you buy from the supermarket. Hard, dry, tasteless and a complete waste of money.

I wanted to order some fish and chips for my family & I because our regular shop was closed. I had read the reviews & it looked promising but unfortunately I was sadly disappointed. I live in Carrum Downs & drove about 10mins to the shop as I thought the drive would be worth it. Anyway I ordered pieces of flake, chips, battered sausages & a fish souvlaki. The fish & sausages were burnt & dry. The amount of chips we received for $7 was pita full. Sorry I won't be going back again.

I always loved this fish n chip Bar as i have coeliac disease and they always made sure my chips were separate and the grilled fish was great, but unfortunately things have changed. My husband went to get dinner about 2 months ago and told them to keep chips separate so there would be no cross contamination. When he opened the package it was all mixed together and as I was only having chips that night I went without.
I rang the shop and told them how serious it can be for me to eat but understood mistakes happened and hoped by ringing and letting them know they would be much more careful. Tonight it has happened again, my husband isn't as patient as I am, as he has seen first hand how violently ill I get from ingesting gluten, and he really ripped into them. I rang back myself to explain why he was so angry but I really don't think they care. I asked if the business had recently changed ownership and they said yes, so now I realize it's not the caring people from before. Anyway for those of you who can tolerate gluten, my husbands dinner looked delicious. For any with coeliac disease or gluten intolerant DON'T GO THERE!

If I could give minus stars I would. Firstly there was a clump of hair, not a strand, a clump on my fish. Secondly the food was so tasteless, the worst fish and chips I have ever had. Undercooked potato cakes and small, thin tasteless flake. I will never understand small business's that don't want repeat customer's.
