Greenwood Scoresby

My daughter has been attending Greenwood Scoresby for the last 7months. She was enrolled at this centre a couple of weeks before she turned 1 and has been receiving the most wonderful care and attention since.

The staff here are are truly exceptional, compassionate and go out of their way to care for the children. There is a beautiful rapport and comfort between the staff members themselves which is very reassuring for us parents - feels like a whole family where you feel safe and happy! My daughter absolutely thrives at this place and loves to go to daycare everyday! And I can say the food is great too!

A big thanks and special mention to the entire team starting from the Centre Manager, Lucinda to Namrata, Srishti, Vivien, Haiyan, Sapna, Shally, Nicola, Simran and the other wonderful educators - we are so grateful for your continuous support! Highly recommend this centre to anyone who is looking for a fun and supportive environment for their little ones.

I have a fantastic experience in this place and my kid does like this center. He is willing to go to CC everyday and this never happened before. All educators are patient and friendly. Indoor area is tidy and clean, and there are a lot of activities every day.

Working with one of the parents and one of the finders from “the incident” you’ll find in some older reviews I was hesitant to consider here, but due to availability of days at the main centre the kids go to, I didn’t have a huge amount of options on the very short notice of my partner returning to work.
I spent considerable time with the new management team and going through with them about what happened, and what they’ve done physically to stop it happening again, and then later some of the revised procedures.
They also advised that all staff and leadership involved at the time of the incident no longer work for greenwood in any capacity.

I ended up using them for 2 days a week as a stop gap as the main centre my kids were at couldn’t accommodate those days.
What happened next completely surprised me. The kids thrived here compared to the other centre.
I saw a step change in development and general happiness of the kids when they moved here, and the care and attention the educators give the kids is amazing.
After around 2 months, instead of it being the stop gap, it is now the primary and as of next week it will be the only centre that we use.
Keep up the great work Lucinda, you’ve done an awesome job turning this centre around, and built a great team to support you and most importantly the kids.

From the centre manager down to the staff and kids we have experienced nothing but positive things. The way they handled our transition to a new day care and how they opened their arms to us was truely amazing and made us feel at home. By observing how much they love every child is really heart warming and I’m so happy we made the move!

New Management have turned this centre around. All procedures and processes have been improved and the ratio of staff to children allows significant one on one time. I highly recommend!

We have been very happy with the service provided by the team at Greenwood Scoresby, which has really assisted us as first time parents. We can certainly see the development since our daughter has commenced here and the positive relationships she has made with her educators and other children. Thank you!

*Note the typical G8/Greenwood copy and paste response to anything negative. Absolute proof they could not care less about you or your child. Ask yourself why G8 own so many different branded childcare centres. They rename them after each incident. Just wait until this one is called something else to escape their screw ups*

My 4 year old daughter (and another child) escaped through the fire exit here a couple of months ago. She was left out in the pouring rain for 10 or more minutes. The centre claims 5 min, whereas the people who found her state 15min.

Luckily she was found by a couple of good Samaritans who returned her to the centre.

After speaking to the people who found her, they told me that the centre manager couldn't care less what had happened, so they decided to ring the centre's head office.

My wife and I were informed a full 2 hours after the incident. Giving the centre enough time to call in their damage control team and get their stories straight. I had to prompt the Manager for an apology!

We actually had to ask if they would refund us the day our daughter escaped. When they agreed, they made a point to mention it was not an admission of guilt on their side. Disgusting.

We've had no end of issues with this centre, from the toxic work environment from a previous member of staff, to staff turnover that is utterly ridiculous. At one point 12 people had left within a 2 month period.

Our daughter didn't even know her teachers name when asked.

Do yourself and your children a favour and steer clear.

My son was kept engaged and learnt a lot during his time at Greenwood. The communication helped me see what he had done for the day & he was able to recall his learning - impressive for a 4 year old boy! The food options are healthy & the carers were responsive to his needs. After a 7 year relationship with 2 kids at the previous centre, it took a lot to move him & I am so pleased we did. Thanks James, Pavi & Leah for making the centre what it is!

Love working here. Such a beautiful service. Fantastic team now too. We have gone from strength to strength as we continue growing

Our little boy started at Greenwood Scorsby at 9 months old and we have be thrilled with the team here. In particular Kristie has been wonderful, it is a tough transition going back to work and Kristie has been so supportive providing lots of updates and being really kind to follow my sons routine as I would like. They do amazing activities and most importantly are beautiful with the children

Such a beautiful family orientated and warm welcoming Centre. The moment i walked into the place i fell in love with it strait away, the Staff are absolutely lovely to be around and never fail to help as much as they can whenever you need it. My daughter loves this daycare, and i can always leave knowing she is in good hands. Always well fed and well looked after. Thank you Greenwood Scoresby for giving both my Daughter and myself a great experience

Staff keeps changing all the time and there is no sense of family or belonging. Like Miss shorty said, manager is never available and none of the other staff is trained to help parents.

Staff turn over is a joke, so sad staff keep leaving as they are the best thing about the centre! The manager is never available at the centre, she is always away or leaves early and she never returns calls, not great service at all!

I have always been so happy at Greenwood, however Iately when dropping off or picking up there have not been enough carers at the center. There have been mornings with 17 children and 1 carer or 12 babies in high chairs and only 2 carers. When we started we were told there would be 1 carer to 4 children, why is this never happening? This is just not good enough!
