Great Ocean Road Gin Kitchen reviews
28 The cocktails alone would be 5* as the menu is varied and the cocktails were delicious.
There was nothing wrong with our food it just wasn’t brilliant. The green curry was a little bland, the bao a little soggy rather than pillowy. It’s a good place and clearly very popular but their drinks are better than their food.
Highly recommend this place if you're in the area.
The best Char Kway Teow I've had. Better than what I had in Malaysia
The staff are great, really friendly and even gave us some local knowledge about where to stay along the Great Ocean Road.
This was one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. Went for the 5 dish banquet and each course was unbelievable! Not only was the food superb, the 2 waitresses were so welcoming and knowledgeable with the menus and drinks. I would have no hesitation to come back again when visiting Aireys Inlet.
Absolutely loved our experience! The most amazing gins with beautiful pairings. We had the 5 course banquet which was plenty of food, amazing courses, very delicious and great service. We also made our way through the whole gin menu and every one of them was a fun surprise and super enjoyable. Not to mention we walked in on New Year’s Day and they made some space for us which we were very appreciative of. Overall was one of the best dinners I’ve had in a while.
Almost a five. Certainly deserves a 5 for great Asian food, great service and gin tasting. My daughter realised the next day that its actually cheaper to purchase each meal individually than going for the package deals. I could be wrong maybe its not meant to be any cheaper
Excellent customer service and ambience. All the food was amazing, our personal favourite was the Sticky Pork Belly with apple slaw salad. Great gin cocktails to accompany the meal. Value for money. Overall highly recommend this restaurant.
Fantastic food, friendly, good vibe, fitting out in a great way. Planning to bring my friend again!
Came here for lunch with a friend and it was incredible. The food was fresh, light and delicious, which was quite a feat considering we ordered three deep fried dishes. The portions were deceptively large, especially considering how cheap the dishes were; a main dish cost around $18. Would be awesome for a night out (birthday, date etc) but was equally as fantastic for a casual lunch. Highly recommend visiting, and highly recommend wearing stretchy pants when you do.
Great service, nice drinks. Very wide selection of (tasty) G&Ts. Food was pretty good too. Unfortunately didn't have any real stand out dishes as part of the banquet (from our opinion), but they were all just good.
Very warm and friendly atmosphere with an abundance of yummy gin drinks on the menu which I understand are brewed on the premises. We ate a set menu which I must say was absolutely delicious with the exception of two dishes. Every other dish was worthy of the best Thai restaurants in Melbourne which made this really very surprising. They were the beef rendang and Thai green curry. AVOID these dishes and I'm confident you'll have a great meal. For the restaurant: these dishes don't need tweaking, you need to start over from scratch. Really bad.
The best meal we have had in a long time. Fresh, modern, sensational and with great service. By far one of the best experiences.
Food was ok nothing special, sorry but $7 for one piece of a seven inch roti bread is not good enough, come on that’s a bit rich. Dumpling’s we’re like out of a packet. The rest was ok.
Trying to support local but disappointed, sorry but just saying.
This is a great little restaurant with the feel of an Asian street eating place but in the great surrounds of the Surf Coast. The food offerings are simply divine. We ate from the a la carte menu on a weekday night and had about 5 dishes all of which had such beautiful and distinct blends of flavours and so freshly cooked. The san choi bao and the rare beef papaya salad.delicious. The service is so great and friendly and their gin offerings a must have!
Our server was absolutely wonderful and helpful. Highlight dishes for us were the Green Curry and Pork Belly - so very yum! The G&Ts were smooth and went well with our meal. Overall great experience!
Delicious authentic Asian food and great range of gin cocktails. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere that is suitable for families, couples, solo and outdoor area to bring pup. Definitely a little gem at Airey’s Inlet.
4 of us all had stunning meals. Started with Beef in betel leaves and chicken dumplings. Amazing! Shared sticky pork belly and duck curry. Everything bang-on with flavour and balance. Hats off to the team, including the wonderful wait staff which is not easy when staff are hard to come by in this climate. Spreading the word and we will be back! Thank you!
Great place for groups, very tasty cocktails and our waitress Chris was so friendly and made our experience great, will be back!
My partner and I had dinner here at the end of a long weekend in Airey's Inlet. The gin we had was alright but nothing particularly special. We ordered a few vegetarian dishes from the menu and overall everything was quite mediocre, particularly the yellow curry which was just plain bland and had something very fibrous and chewy in it. The worst part of it was that after ordering entirely vegetarian dishes, they muddled up our order and delivered chicken dumplings to our table - leaving us picking at the dumplings in confusion. In fairness to the restaurant, we weren't actually charged for the dumplings on our bill because we'd been very unhappy about the whole debacle. The saving dish of the meal was the tofu baos but, unfortunately, these were not enough to make the dinner a good experience. Overall very pricey for the taste and quality.
Such a fantastic experience! Beautiful food and very warm service.and of course the drinks are super delicious! We added on dessert and it was definitely worth it!
Delicious food with dynamic flavours. And the service was very warm, friendly and professional. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Aireys Inlet Wednesdays to Sundays. I'm not a seasoned gin drinker but I've also enjoyed their gin on a previous visit and highly rated their product knowledge, and advice for the novice gin connoisseur.
