Loved staying in apollo bay, the place was nice, close to beach and town, hosts were friendly and welcoming

First time away with family booked the units were really impressed with the set up every thing was perfect close to shops also information booklet about were to eat and things to do whilst at Apollo Bay went for a walk to the harbour seen Seals and a Stingray unbelievable thank you Lisa from Great Ocean Road Escapes for a truely fantastic time will tell all my friends about this lovely trip

We loved our stay at Miren Cottage! Beautifully renovated and decorated it was an easy walk to the beach and shops. The well appointed kitchen was spacious with plenty of bench space for meal preparation and accessible to the deck. Beds were comfortable and living area was cosy and homey with lots of books and board games. Surrounded by a wrap around garden it felt light and peaceful. We'd love to come back someday.

We booked 5 months in advance to stay at Beachside Bliss for Christmas for 5 nights at a cost of around $4000.00 from 23/12/23 until 28/12/23.
Check in was 3pm, we arrived at 2.30pm and beat the cleaners to the property. They allowed themselves less than 30 minutes to clean a 2 storey 3 bedroom home. This should have been our first alert.
Upon using the dishes and cutlery, we found them to be dirty with food. I stayed up until 1am putting the dishes and cutlery through the smelly dishwasher so we were able to use them and wiping out the cutlery drawers. Upon opening the oven on the second day, we discovered a build up of grease and pet hair. I proceeded to clean this immediately as we needed to use it to prepare Christmas lunch. There was thick dust, pet hair and mould under the bed in the bunk room, clearly not cleaned in a long time. I found another guests invoice in the side drawer of rhe main bedroom. Dust had accumulated thick on the bedside table lamps and also on the lights in the bathroom as well as the fan in the lounge. The screen door to the porch is permanently off its hinges, thick cobwebs cover the decked areas roof and a blanket was left outside the back door on a chair. We dont know where it came from or who it belonged to. Trying to make the most of a bad situation and knowing this couldn't be fixed in a day, as the place needed a deep clean, I decided to make the best of a bad situation and report this to Air bnb at the end of our stay. I didn't want to be consumed by the stress especially after travelling, nor should I have been, during our one holiday each year year away. Unfortunately unbeknown to me, Air bnb require the information no later than 72 hours after check in so, no compensation could be made to me. The host was approached by Air bnb to resolve the situation with me from a moral stand point, unfortunately for me, they had no conscience or morals and refused to offer any compensation and choosing to take the loop hole of not reported within 72 hours. Even if it was reported in time, we were not prepared to leave the property in the storm for the host to return to clean, this would have taken more than a day to correct and we were already in the facility that they'd taken our money and other peoples money forbthe cleaning fee. It is disappointing that this is Great Ocean Road Escapes, Beachside Biss's morals and standards and, that this was an acceptable way to present the home to guests. My own home is cleaner and they are taking money for this house. The pics are of the filth we encountered. The only thing the place had going for it was location and access to the beach, nice house but not looked after. The one star was for location only. We definitely left the place cleaner than what we found it.

A great little space for my husband and I to enjoy our weekend. Apollo bay was easily walkable with many things on offer. Plus a great place to stay to visit parts of The Great Ocean Road.

So close to the beach, pier and breakwater for some relaxing walks at sunset and also only a minute to get into the town centre for breakfast, lunch and dinners meant we could park the car and walk everywhere. A fantastic view out to the golf course and surrounding hillsides make this the perfect escape midweek.

Accommodation was beautifully kept and maintained. Comfortable, clean and with spectacular views. Lisa's communication was prompt and informative. The whole experience was easy and welcoming. Would definitely stay again. Thanks!

We've just spent the weekend at Miren Cottage. We had an amazing time, the house is so well positioned in Apollo Bay, the facilities inside are exactly what you need, lovely big beds, well cared for property, and the shower could be the best I have ever used!

We were very happy at Lisa's place. We were welcomed by a koala. This is a good place it you want a place with privacy and a walking distance to a fantastic beach.

My family and I stayed at the Airbnb in Apollo Bay and very much enjoyed it. It was well kept and a short walk to the beach and shops. A nice selection of DVD's and board games too! Thank you to Great Ocean Escapes for a wonderful holiday!

This is a large holiday home with plenty of space for a large family group; 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
It is well located on a quiet street about a 10 minute walk into town where there are plenty of restaurants and shops.
Lisa & Cheryl were very attentive promptly replying to any questions we had.
We'd certainly stay here again when next in the area.

We had a fantastic stay at the Bay Beach Hut. It is a great place which has everything you need and only a short walk to shops, restaurants and the beach.
Lisa & Cheryl are great hosts and made sure we had a comfortable stay.

Staying at the Lighthouse Retreat for a long weekend with my two kids and the hound was just what we needed. We’ve had a tough family time of late and the weekend away was an amazing break. Point of views villas

Myself and my wife had the pleasure of staying at this property for a short two night stay, I say pleasure because that is truely what it was from the open gas fire to the spar to the tranquil settings, the amazing scenic view this is one of the most relaxing couple get always that we have had the chance to do, the only downside is that we didn’t have more time at this accomodation, as a romantic place to stay where you can switch off and just totally relax I can’t recommend it enough truely amazing.

Booked an Apollo Bay property with Great Ocean Road Escapes through AirBnb and had a great time! Super easy to arrange (we only booked the night before) and the host, Lisa, was extremely helpful and always able to answer our questions.

The place itself was really clean and tidy as advertised. We added an extra friend to the booking and Lisa was very accommodating with that.

Overall the booking was good value for money and the area was fantastic as well. We would recommend booking with these guys in the future!
