Grandma's Dumpling Kitchen

The dumplings were so authentic and delicious that we came back again the next day before leaving Phillip Island. We are also comfortable with the welcoming service and the cozy seating environment. It's amazing to find such a high standard Chinese cuisine in San Remo and not the capital cities. We had also tried fried beef noodle, also superb.

First time eating here, food was bloody delicious and quite cheap which was an bonus and the staff were lovely. Food was cooked to perfection and in a timely matter. 10/10 recommend and we’re definitely coming back

We had some fabulous dumplings as well as deep fried salt & pepper prawns.they were wonderful, fresh and tasty. The honey pepper beef delicious.mouth melting and full of flavour.

Unfortunately the food was underwhelming and overpriced in my opinion. Our order was messed up so we didn’t actually get what we ordered and paid for, which is pretty frustrating.

These are the people who also own the restaurant in Wonthaggi. We love eating at the Wonthaggi restaurant but now we have our new restaurant here in San Remo. Have never had a problem with the food or the service and we visited with family and once again had a beautiful meal. We will return no problems about that and sing their praises.

Walked into the restaurant was given a menu, was asked 2 times within 2 minutes had we decided what to order once ordered was told 25 minute to wait, that was fine, very busy people coming in at the front desk, taking orders, once we got our takeaway order, got home and unfortunately I ordered Stir-fry noodles with vegetables it was burnt it wasn’t nice at all very disappointing!

Amazing new Chinese restaurant with very affordable authentic cuisine!

The price is reasonable per person (including drinks), and the food tastes veritably wonderful.

We got pan fried zucchini dumplings and pork and cabbage dumplings (12pcs and 6pcs respectively), and we were happily surprised with a beautiful webbed crust on the bottom of the dumplings (which were upside down on the plate to keep the crust crispy). The taste was just splendid, super flavourful and not greasy at all!

We also got the honey chicken. It was fried to a wonderful crunch for when you take a bite, the honey glaze was the perfect sweetness, and it doesn’t go stale for a while too.

There’s tons of parking all in walking distance, and the restaurant is located right near the Pelican feeding bay for a convenient walk after our meal.

This place was the perfect finish to our night. We have high hopes for its future!

Yum! We had honey chicken, dumplings, Seafood Singapore Noodles and Satay Chicken and the dishes were all freshly cooked with beautiful flavour. Food was well priced. We were met with friendly service also from all staff.
Love the koi projection out the front also.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Grandma's Dumpling Kitchen, and it was an absolute delight! The moment I took my first bite of their honey chicken, I was transported to a culinary paradise. The honey chicken was not only crispy but also incredibly flavorful, with the perfect balance of sweetness and savory goodness.

The dumplings were a true work of art, each one bursting with delectable fillings and encased in thin, delicate wrappers.

The cozy atmosphere of the restaurant added to the overall experience, making it the perfect place for a family dinner or a special date night. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the service was great.

Great shooting range with lots of choices, you get to cook your own meal after shooting the animals but overall very good would definitely come back.

Grandma's Dumpling Kitchen is truly an institutional restaurant (NO MSG) The chef is from Flower Durm. He will continue to deliver delicious and authentic Chinese cuisine.

Their menu boasts a wide range of traditional dishes that are flavourful and well-prepared.

You can taste a variety of HANDMADE dumplings.

The staff are extremely friendly and attentive, offering an excellent customer service experience that makes diners feel right at home.

It is a delightful destination and also to their enduring quality keeps patrons returning for more.

It’s close Phillip island. The dumplings are amazing. I really like the Lamb&onion dumpling, tasty and juicy. The seafood dishes are fresh and tasty as well. Kids love the salt&pepper squid and honey chicken. Definitely will be back the next holiday.
