This place is amazing. The service was great and I even got a free brush with my purchase! Definitely recommend this amazing shop

I came by this store on complete accident, however had a look inside because I’ve been after an Akubra for a while. I was helped by Craig and he helped with deciding which hat was right for my needs, sizing and styling. I ended up walking out that day with a Akubra Traveller and a big smile on my face.

Visited both hat shops in Melbourne. Came back to this one because of the better service, and they took better care of their stock. I appreciated the fact that they do not let people mawl the hats and pick them up by their pinch point.

Craig did a fantastic job removing a stubborn stain from my Akubra. He is a great bloke, and I couldn't recommend him and Grand Hatters more highly.

Phenomenal service! Shopkeeper was very passionate about hats and super friendly! Enjoyed the visit and came away with, get this, not one but TWO amazing and utterly beautiful hats of a level that I’ve not seen in any generic supermarket or general store. Highly recommend it! They do further say they offer some basic maintenance for the hats down the road as well. What more could you ask for? Very cool hat business! 10/10

Craig helped me in purchase of a hat here a few months ago and I had a flawless experience. The owners, Chris and Craig, have so much passion for what they do and finding the right fit for your head! There’s no sales push, just good honest advice, go through the process with them and they’ll look after you.

Yesterday I took in my old faithful Akubra, she’s 9 years old, is feeling fairly tight on my head and seen better days. I left my hat with chris and returned today, it’s been steamed, stretched and has a new feather in it and best yet it’s fitting my head again!

Felt like we weren’t welcome, we were told not to touch the hats and when we spoke up about how we were treated, instead of apologizing, the attendant argued with us that he was not being rude. Really disappointed as we had specifically sought this shop out with the hope of buying two hats.

If I could give zero stars I would! 4 of us walked several kilometres to specifically go to the store after seeing it the night before but closed. We would have purchased 2 hats, but the shop owner/attendant snatched a hat out of one of our hands, put it back on the pile and told us not to touch and turned back to the the other customer! We walked straight out of the store and then decided to go back and tell the guy how rude he was. He then argued with us and turned to the other customers in the store to ask if they thought he was rude!

Got incredible advice here on styles, caps, hats and shapes. They know their business and they thoroughly impressed me

Great shop! Wide selection of caps, fedoras, trilbies, in short a grand variety of Hats! Craig (I think) the owner looked after me really well. Very knowledgeable and gave my Laird Shooters cap a light 'brush and steam'. Thanks fella. Really appreciated the help. We're on our way back to London now but hopefully see you again soon.

Great range of stylish hats at reasonable prices. Friendly understated service from people who know what they are doing. An added bonus is that the cafe right next door serves some of the best coffee in the world.

Although my size wasn’t in stock for a Winter cap, Chris was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Thankyou for going above & beyond when we were in store. Look forward to returning again to purchase a Winter hat.

The staff were very friendly and provided exceptional service. The store also has a wide range of hats to try - would highly recommend if you're in town!
