Grand Canyon reviews
26The climb over the boulders presents a very beautiful scene with curvy paths and scenic views.
Great experience for a family with kids age 5 and above. Amazing to to do this hike as a family or with friends.
It was exhausting and challenging but worth it. It’s not your average hike so be prepared, always follow the triangle guide signs.
Don’t bring a lot of items just water and protein bar or jerky.
The mountain will make you feel like the climb is not gonna end but don’t give up.
Nice walk in between the cliffs, you will be walking along side a river from the wonderland car park to the stairs at the end, where there is also a waterfall. Keep in mind the stair at the end is currently closed, you will need to walk back to the main track if wish to go to the Pinnacle look out.
Beautiful canyon, through which you can theoretically (unfortunately currently closed) also make the ascent to the pinnacle. There are many small waterfalls and beautiful string structures to see.
The south stair was closed, so we thought we had to miss it. Fortunately, we tried to enter from the car park and we got it right!
This is a good walk however, I feel National Parks are letting walkers down as staircase to the pinnacles has been closed for over 2 years now otherwise still a nice detour.
Great walk through some interesting rock formations and a couple of small waterfalls with a nice one at the end
What can I say? I feel like a child when I see the big rock formations. Imagine that, Me, a 57 year old man still feeling giddy after seeing rocks for so long. It’s beautiful and words can not even begin to describe the beauty and awe that these rock bestow upon us when we gaze at them with the starry night along the horizon behind. 5 star
Ok, it's a tad smaller than its counterpart on the Colorado River - but it does look amazing. Unfortunately one end is closed due to track damage, but you can still view most of it and you can hike around the long way to see the other end if you want. I saw this while doing the Pinnacles loop. Easily accessed via the Wonderland Carpark or a short but steep hike from Splitters Falls. If you do walk up from the falls, you get to see some spectacular pools along Stoney Creek. I couldn't find their name but they were a great little spot to stop and catch my breath after a lot of steps!:)
Part of it was closed on our visit due to some collapsed rocks but still amazing views. Well worth the walk
Nice place to explore. Outstanding view Be aware when hot, make sure u have enough water. Small parking.
Plenty of rocks and all up hill. You must be careful, wear the proper shoes. This range has interesting rock formations.
Currently closed off April 2021, but all 5he rest of The Pinnacle treks are worth the visit. It's a very easy access from the Wonderland carpark and when the new stairs are completed it will be awesome to check out before walking up to The Pinnacle.
Not actually closed, only the stairs out the end. You can still walk down the canyon and get those great photo shots, just you have to walk out the same way. Very close to the car park and easy access.
This Grand Canyon in the Geriward/Grampians may not be as big as its American namesake, but this canyon is certainly "grand". From the viewpoint, the gorge is nice, but when you descend into it, when you stand on the bottom and look up at those ribbed walls.this gorge is imposing, majestic and one of the most beautiful places in the world to be in. This Grand Canyon is one of the many highlights of the Wonderland Loop. Make this hike!
The Grand Canyon was so amazing! It was like going back in time. We were there on March 15 practicing physical distancing, when we came across a large group. Thankfully they avoided the canyon and we had it all to ourselves.well us and the lizards.
Nice place to explore. View outstanding. Be aware when hot, make sure u have enough water with you. Small parking.
What a beautiful place. Nice walk through the canyon then back along the top. Visit late afternoon after the crowds have gone.
Hiked the Grand Canyon with my 4 year old and barely 2 year old. They loved it but definitely required some stamina to carry the little one 85% of the way because his little legs couldn't climb the big rocky steps & patience for my under 4 year old girl wanting to climb everything first. I had 3 other members hiking with us so it was great fun to include the kids. Would love to come back and tackle it again to go all the way to the Pinnacles without the little ones. Recommend to Bring some water to drink & pack a snack or lunch to sit above it all & enjoy. Definitely attempt on a dry day, I came on a wet day & was told not to go, I know why now.
