Grampians Peaks Walking Company reviews
18I recently got a ride on the shuttle bus from Dunkeld to Mt Zero. The bus service was on time and the driver extremely knowledgable about the trail and what to expect. I got some great advice relating to quality and availability of water resources during a brief stop off. I’ll use them again next time.
Outstanding professional advice and willing to go out of their way to help school groups. Extremely knowledgable and generous with their time. Highly recommended.
Adrian and his team provided our gaggle of walkers a wonderful & memorable experience on the southern section of the Grampians Peaks Trail. They organised all our meals (delish), pitched our tents & ensured adequate fresh water was available (sometimes water tanks at camping sites can be low/empty) so we could concentrate on the breathtaking (literally & metaphorically) scenery! The wildflowers & views from the Grampians/gariwerd peaks were amazing! Have already signed up for the central section next year.
The GPT is an unknown treasure in the Pandora box of Victoria and Australian tourist experiences. Doing this with the assistance of the Grampians Peaks Walking Company enables the hiker to relax and enjoy the bounty of natural flora that is unique to Gariwerd. Our guides were knowledgeable and genuinely interested in the area. Food and overall support was excellent. I look forward to completing the third section with GPWC.
Good for last minute pick ups. Email for puckups if you need one off the GPT within 7 days. Online bookings close within 7 days however they can be arranged via email. I tried in store and was told that puckups were full.
Had a wonderful experience walking end to end.rain, hail and shine with this fantastic crew! Adrian, Jason and the whole team kept us motivated, inspired, very well fed and energised the entire time. Their expertise, skill, knowledge and hospitality was absolutely second to none. Grateful for their flexibility and dedication to guide us through 'til the end. Do not even hesitate to book an experience with the experts if you're reading this and contemplating a Grampians adventure! 12/10 would hike again.
Soo happy with our guide Ryan, who went well above expectations in keeping our group dry, and very well fed. He also went out of his way to show us around when our trek was washed out
Although the weather was not kind to us we had a great few days with Ryan our guide. When it was way to wet to walk he drove us around sightseeing to fabulous waterfalls and an Aboriginal art site. He made a number of trips carrying food water and cooking gear up the track to our campsite in the rain and then cooked a delicious dinner for us. Nothing was too much trouble and he looked after us very well. I would definitely recommend this trekking company
The GPW team went out of their way to be friendly and helpful.
It was great to walk the trail without carrying food or tents. The huts were great - simple comfortable and good shelters from the weather. We were lucky to have great conditions which increased our appreciation of the views and environment. The walking guides were informative and friendly. Our cooks did a great job. I have no hesitation in recommending GPW for your next walking adventure.
While not guests of GPWC, we had the good fortune for one night of sharing the djardji-djarawa campsite shelter with one of their guides- the awesome, multi-talented Ryan, who was supporting a large group. Knowledgeable, professional and bloody good company! Thanks Ryan!
Walked through the northern section of the Grampians (4 days 3 nights). Guide Liv and support staff Kate and Adrian were great. While you will walk with your backpack and feeling on adventure, the company cares for carrying tents and food and set up meals and camps, plus first aid and navigation tasks. There are other two trail options (central and southern, with the central one a bit more demanding) and other services offered, like dropping food. Absolutely recommend both the trail and the Company
Magical experience completing northern section of peaks trail. Very adaptable to the changing conditions. Will go back for other sections. Highly recommend.
I had the BEST time! Just what I needed after a long two years at home - great company, great food, great walks with amazing views - but still with the comforts of a hot shower & comfy bed!
Enjoyed a wonderful four days of walking through the north section of the Grampians Peaks Trail. The entire team for Grampian Peaks Walking Company were amazing! From the guides, who were friendly, encouraging and supportive, to the catering and setup crew who had our tents ready and delicious meals cooked each night. An overall sensational experience, complemented by the amazing support from the Grampians Peaks walking team. Couldn't recommend enough.
High recommend considering Grampians Peaks Walking Company for your next visit to the Grampians.
Thanks to the expertise from Adrian and his team, my fellow travelers and I visited some of the Grampians most famous and less known trails.
As part of the luxe tour, we were treated to amazing food - breakfast, lunch and dinner - and incredible accommodation at Eagle Wings Rise.
We had a wonderful, fun experience with some challenging walks in a truly beautiful place and some fantastic relaxing times together in the Grampians including at the beautiful accommodation. Adrien was a wonderful, charming, knowledgeable host who was great company and juggled his many responsibilities skillfully.
I experienced nothing but professionalism on my Grampians Peaks Trail Southern expedition. 5 days of great food with friendly, knowledgeable guides and an overall excellent guided walk. Highly recommended for those wanting to experience this rugged landscape with a touch of creature comforts.
Huge thanks to Grampians Peaks Walking Company who did a great job in dropping us off at the trail head at Mt Zero. Gave lots of valuable advice on the drive up there.
Huge thanks to one of their guides who we bumped into at one of the campsites. He gave me a packet of energy chews when he saw that I was struggling at the end of a long hot day.
Will definitely be using them when we come back to do some more of the GPT.
