Gourmet Pies

I urge anyone considering trying this meat pie to proceed with caution. Save yourself the disappointment and seek out a more reputable establishment that knows how to craft a delicious, flavourful, and well-balanced meat pie. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you.

Hmmm I think the biggest issue is these pies are perfect for an customer base that isn't me.

They're good. The crust is flakey, holds up but is inoffensive. There's definitely a lot of skill in the pastry though.

The filing a little less so. A bit underseasoned but not enough to be offensive. The filing itself was overall pretty tender but with the occasional piece of meat that had a rougher texture so I couldn't tell whether this was deliberate. However it hasn't picked any lane as far as type of pies he's going for.

Are they rustic and robust? Are they delicate and "high end"? Are they crazy and out there with their flavours? Are they subtle and super clean?

The problem for me? None of the above.

This may just be a me problem though. As I said decent is a fair assessment. Do they stand out enough for me to want to buy them again? I don't know.
