Gordon Studio Glassblowers reviews
44We enjoyed this spontaneous stop on the way to the Sorrento. The gentlemen who we spoke to was extremely knowledgeable about glassblowing techniques, history, styles etc. There was no question he wasn't able to answer in detail. Call ahead if you want to see glassblowing in action so you can time your trip
Wow. 3 generations of fine glass art. The gallery has unique pieces available that cater to all tastes and styles. If they don't have exactly what you want, then they can custom make it for you. The timeless dynamic and organic beauty of glass is definitely on display at this wonderful, slightly out of the way gallery and glass blowing studio.
Very welcoming staff with great knowledge and passion.
Always worth a visit a few times a year. Just to see what exquisite artwork or techniques they have come up with.
Remember to bring your credit cards to take home something special for you or as a gift. Sound investment in a piece of unique artwork.
PS.as they prefer for people to not take photos, you'll have to take my word for it. "Beautiful expression of form in glass, at its finest".
Went just to watch masters at work. Brilliant place, especially if you want to precure a rare piece of art.
Absolutely amazing glass ware. Can't believe what they can make out of coloured glass
A beautiful art studio and perfect stop off on the tourist trail around the Mornington Peninsula! The studio was open and artists were glass blowing while we were there. It was an amazing experience!
Beautiful place. It's really nice glass objects. Two generous pets to welcome you. Lovely place to visit
I could sit and watch the process of glass-blowing all day amazing. The shop has beautiful items for sale all amazing and worth the money.
Had a three hour class with my daughters this morning with Hamish, the grandson of founders of this glass making dynasty. It was a fabulous learning experience - Hamish is a generous, skilful, knowledgeable and patient teacher. We now understand the skill and patience involved in creating glass art. We each came home with three pieces which will remind us of a memorable day. Thank you Hamish.
Awesome and stunning work
Friendly staff and helpful
Glass blowing is amazing
Worth another visit
Great place. Amazing works of art. Not working today as they had to get a new crucible but still informative and so awesome to see.
An amazing experience to watch such beautiful art being created by such amazingly talented artists. I bought a glass penguin to remind me of my time here.
A workshop, art gallery, sculpture garden and shop package deal. There’s a lot to see and admire. Looking forward to visiting again Mon-Fri during the day to see the artists working in the hot shop!
Some of the best glass artisan work I've seen in Australia. The works are amazing and considering the cost of gas nowadays pretty reasonable.
Amazing artwork! Definitely worth visiting. There is a very well done video playing that shows the process. I wish I could have afforded some of the items! Prices were high, but considering the quality, they were quite reasonable.
Well worth stopping in to see the glass blowers creating their beautiful works of art. Recommend setting aside more time than you expect because the process is hypnotic. Had to stay to see a lump of molten glass gradually and carefully transformed into finished glassware.
Wonderful place if you are a glass enthusiast. The outdoor glass sculptures have turned the place into a miniature Chihuly garden.
We watched the glass-blowing of two beautiful wine glasses. Well worth a visit, just watch out for the tricky entrance on Red Hill Road.
I did the class today with Myles and Tegan and it was incredible! Lots of instruction and help and also space to try things ourselves. Can’t wait to pick up my pieces tomorrow.
Best Christmas present and I’m hoping to do the Christmas bauble class later in the year
Sculpture glass lollies ear rings vases platters bowls on and on so much especially when work shop is open to see the glass being artfully shaped Wow an experience not to be missed
Lovely glassware, but staff weren’t wearing masks so I had to leave. I was looking forward to spending some money there, but I can’t afford to get covid as a healthcare worker unfortunately.
