Gordon St Bakery reviews
41Almond croissants are divine. Cheese sticks are awesome. Yet to try the coffee but the caffeine aroma on entry is pretty damn good
I grew up eating croissants (francophone background). I have spent a lot of time trying many of the renown croissants in Melbourne. This is the best I have ever had and the place never dissappoints no matter how many times I visit. Everything I have tried thus far, the plain croissant, pain au chocolat, almond croissant, chocolate almond croissant, cheese stick, palmier, have all been perfect; I would not change anything about them. The plain croissant is the best I have ever had, with a perfect balance of crispy, flaky, buttery and soft. The chocolate almond croissant is a must-try.
Amazing bakery, best almond croissant I've had in ages, and THE BEST proper, dark, rye bread (rugbrød) I've had in Melbourne
Great bread and croissants. Best coffee in the immediate area as well! Staff are all lovely and friendly, even during the rush periods
Always delicious!
Pick anything. Our family favourites are almond croissant and cinnamon roll.
Best cheese stick, so light and flaky. No picture because ate it too fast.
Fig and walnut baguette also yummy.
Good crossiant and police bread too.
Very good. Almond croissants, actually shouldn't say that here because now there might be a lineup but very good
Best bakery in the west. Almond croissants are hands down the best I’ve eaten. Always friendly staff.
Best sourdough in the West! Coffee is amazing and the cinnamon scrolls are absolutely to die for.
I am an absolute almond croissant fiend and this place has the BEST almond croissants. I can't describe to you how buttery, crisp, flakey their croissant is. The filling is generous and tastes so goooood, you can't go wrong
The croissants here are so good they make other cafes in the area look like they sell supermarket brand. The humble plain croissant is king, but special mention to the almond which was probably the best I've ever had. Bread is pretty fantastic too
Best bakery in the west. Their sourdough is excellent and their almond croissants are better than Lune. Come early on weekends if you want to avoid them being sold out!
So many reasons to come here, walnut baguette fo the soul, almond croissant for the lips and everything else for the hips. Coffee is damn fine. Don't tell everyone, it's really great without being hipster tragic. I wish it was closer to my home.
They have some great treats here. The almond and chocolate croissant is probably the pick of the bunch, and and baguettes are delicious and have perfect crusty casings.
I absolutely love the chocolate almond croissants! And I've never been a pastry fan. Very high quality stuff, wonderful staff too
Loved the almond croissant and chocolate croissant.best one I ever had in Melbourne.it’s quite busy so need to be their early to avoid the disappointment of soldout.
Pastries to die for, go the choc almond croissants and the palmier.even the standard croissant is flaky yet crispy and buttery, you can't go wrong. Great coffee too. YUM YUM! Get there early on the weekend or else they're sold out!
Nothing special at all been to more popular places in Melbourne and I rate the service at this bakery as bad as my gym socks. The man was quite rude I assume he's the owner.
Nothing short of incredible. I am transported back to France with every mouthful of deliciousness.
