Goodstart Lower Plenty

My son has been at Goodstart Lower Plenty for almost two years now and we are very happy with the care and education he receives there. He absolutely loves his daycare days, he has had wonderful educators in both of the rooms he has been in. They have nurtured him, provided a high level of education and shown him so much warmth and care. The outdoor area is huge. Special mention to how great this centre has been with my son’s numerous allergies also. Would highly recommend.

My son has been going to Good Start Lower Plenty since he was 9.5 months old. Our experience there has been excellent from the beginning m. The staff and educators all seem to love what they do. He has formed great relationships with all the educators and staff. He loves the centre manager as well. The facilities are great, the outdoor play area is huge and they spend a good deal of time outside. Which my son loves. They do lots of activities and base them off the children’s interests. My son has learnt a lot in his time there and made some really good friends. I was nervous to start him in care but the experience has been fantastic and very beneficial to my son. Highly recommend this centre.

My son has been attending Goodstart Lower Plenty for nearly 2 years now and I couldn’t be happier. We moved him from a different centre and noticed how much he thrived at GLP. The educators and all staff are amazing and truly love the children. There is a great community feel to the centre too. The facility is amazing, particularly the huge outdoor area, which my son absolutely loves.

We have been with Goodstart Lower plenty since 2019 and my son absolutely loves going there. Rosi, the centre Manager is a very passionate and very well organised lady. Her positive encouragement made my son’s transition very smooth. Within few weeks my son established a strong relationships with Pooja and Safiya who were in pre kinder room at that time. Their gentle approach and understanding of my son made the transition much smoother.
Nothing could go wrong if your child’s teacher is Silvia. She is a very creative and organised teacher. Every day she has interesting activities planned for the kids. My son loves the science experiments he does with his teacher Silvia. It is so amazing how she finds out individual skills and developmental needs and planning accordingly. I can see our son is being exposed to great learning opportunities in the centre. I love the way Pooja, the other amazing Educator in the room does the incidental learning with the kids. My son’s love towards his teacher Silvia and Pooja really shows how comfortable he is in his kinder room.
All the other Educators in the centre are very passionate, understanding and friendly. We are very happy to find Goodstart lowerplenty and there is nothing more reassuring than knowing your child is so well cared for by such competent and caring Educators. I have already recommended this place to my friends and family. Keep up the good work guys. You guys are truely amazing. Thank you very much for shaping up little minds.

When we moved to Eltham we made the transition from "For Profit" Childcare to Non Profit. We couldn't be happier with the results from Goodstart and the Lower Plenty centre. The local management team are friendly, caring, efficient, professional and extremely responsive. They take great care and pay attention to small detail. Our kids absolutely love their educators, and their programs are enthusiastically delivered.

On top of the great educational and admin staff, the chef (Jay) is a wonderfully cheerful man who cooks nutritious meals and snacks. The play area is more spacious than most community playgrounds and very well appointed.

I would have no hesitation in recommending this centre as a high quality childcare option to anyone in the area. Keep up the great work Goodstart Lower Plenty!

Goodstart is such a supportive, caring and warm environment for kids to be looked after in, while still being very organised and well run. My daughter absolutely loves it.

The centre has shown a real improvement in the way they prepare engaging, rich activities for the children.

My hubby and I are really happy with Goodstart Lower Plenty. Our son attended from 2014 when he was 10 months old, through until he was 4 years and now our daughter goes there too, she’s 2.

Amazing center! Ive been sending my children there for the past 5 years. Rosie the manager is very pasionate, caring and well prepared. The educators are extremely professional, prepared and lovely.
The outdoor area is out of this world, super spacious and very organised, the kids love it! The rooms are extra large, well organised and with a lot of incredible didactic activities.
The food is super yummy, healthy and the best fresh products.

My daughter has attended for 18 months now and I cannot fault the centre. The centre manager and all of the educators are lovely and go out of their way to help. The facilities are great and I will be sending my son next year too.

The staff and facilities at Goodstart Lower Plenty are superior. We made the switch early this year and every single educator has been genuine and passionate about the kids’ wellbeing and development; we could not be more grateful for the level of care provided by Rosie and her team, which was also extended via the consistent support and communication to families during the uncertainty of COVID-19.

They both love going to childcare and have the best time when they are there. I had a son There a few years ago and made my son confident to have a smooth start to school, and now I have a daughter who attended the child care since she was 3 month old. Know she is two years old and she has developed a lot in those two years by the staff that support her.

The staff are really friendly and supportive,
this child care has an excellent team work and supportive management team, they always work hard to support their families and their children.

My son attended Nursery One from 7 months old and I couldn’t speak more highly of the educators and the facility. My son loved going and was always cared for with such genuine compassion. The activities and educational programs are fantastic and this is communicated regularly. I will always be grateful to the centre on providing such a positive first experience to daycare. Thank you.

I would recommend not sending any child to this Centre. My daughter was there for a very long time and besides the turnover of staff and Centre Management there is just a basic lack of care, empathy, stimulation and freshness from top to bottom.

There has been a series of good Room Leaders through the years but non stick around and either leave without notice (which is very hard for the kids to take) due to personal reasons or they get sick of the management structure and resign immediately.

The rooms are tired, the play equipment is very basic and if it wasn’t for the nice extensive outdoor area it would represent a grey military building.

There is poor communication and hostility if you do have an issue. I feel for the educators as they do a great job but they are fighting against a tide of apathy and hostility.

My daughter was there from 9 months to 5+ years and even after requesting some kind of leaving party for her and offering to assist. She left without even a token goodbye.

The Centre should be closed down as the management and business structure is rotten to the core. Even the poor token pet turtle looks like it is completely neglected and ill treated.

Whatever you do. Do not send your child here. There are far too many new, modern and ethical places around the area that are far superior for less or the same money. It’s a no brainer.

On the plus side the car parking is okay.
