My grandson attended this centre for 5 years, the educators were amazing and friendly. The program suited his needs and family were involved in his education,
The educators certainly know their job and go above and beyond to make sure transitions are smooth

I had both of my children in this Centre over 5 years and Initially had reservations about putting my boys into childcare, after the first month I never looked back, my eldest went from about 3 years and youngest 18months. They were very fortunate to have some very dedicated caring educators in their time at Burnside, I never had an issue other than trying to get my kids to leave when I went to pick them up as they were always having too much fun. I would highly recommend this Centre to anyone.

This was the first child care we sent our son. It was the only one close by that had vacancies for when i was due back at work. It didn't have a nice feel when i was having to drop my child off. I found quite a few of the workers here seemed to not have the childs best interest. For example the amount of times that i had gone to pick up my son, it showed that he had hardly any belly time, he was either on his back or the carer was holding him sitting down, not really interacting with the kids more just gossiping. On a few occasions when picking him up he smelt like smoke, and i noticed that the carers were going out for a smoke then coming back in to the room not washing there hands or putting perfume on or anyhing to get rid of the smoking smell. The thing that made me pull my son out was over the 3 months he was there he hadn't developed very much, to give n example when we changed child care he was sitting within 2 weeks. That showed me that the carers at this centre were more hands on and wanted to help the children get to there next milestone. But i worked 45-1hr away from the child care and was there at 6: 25am to drop him off at 6: 30 the time that the centre opens, no one was there. I waited 20 mins and then 2 carers came and said ' sorry they were late' with a laughed like it was a joke. I said in a calm voice sorry but were paying for you to be here on time so that i can rely on you to drop my son off, and that i can get to work on time. They turn on the lights and started to set up for the day, no where to put my son as they didn't have the mats or cushions out. While i was waiting thinking they would have priority, she said can you wait 5-10 mins while we just set up? I said i had to go to work, she pretty much dismissed that and went to the other room. I waited until she wasn't running around, called me work that i would be late.i ended up being 1.5 hours late due to traffic. The next day when i went to pick him up i told the manager and she pretty much dismissed the situation, didn't apologised or admit to there responsibilities. My partner went and talked to the manager as well and he said she didn't have a good attitude towards him either. When we left they were still charging us for 3-4 weeks, and we had to call 3-4 times to get a refund as she 'had forgotten'. There were some lovely ladies in the nursery though, and Indian lady and a Chinese lady. But the others need to either find another workplace to enjoy or pull up there socks and treat the children of what they desevre.
