GoodOvening Korean Chicken Restaurant reviews
62Spicy carbonara chicken is definitely the best menu they have. The non spicy one is also good! Other than the chicken, I highly recommend the corn cheese and rice balls. You need to come early to this place though, because they get extremely crowded at night!
We aren't sure what the hype is about and won't queue for an hour. The fried chicken was alright but we've had better. The toppoki and japchea were nice but pricier than other places.
There are still 12 tables available but did not allow more customers sit down. Really don’t know why, and really cold outside, no one come to explain. And the queue so long but not allow to sit down. Even if the maximum number of customers not achieved. Not a good experience.
This place is usually really busy on Friday night and the weekends. A week day is better to go if you don't want to queue for a while. Overall the food was really good. The original fried chicken was delicious. Compared to some of the other Korean restaurants in the area, the portions seemed a little small but still plenty of food. Definitely recommend.
The food and atmosphere are nice I like it. The decorations makes you feel like you’re in Korea somehow lol
Foods are not bad. We ordered their signature hotpot and mixed fried chicken and they’re ok.
The only downside of this restaurant is that their service. It took more than 30 mins to get served.
No respect for waiting customers. Long queue no seat no communication. Food is so so, not worth the price and long wait. If you see it on social media, don't be fooled.
The Crazy Chicken Platter caught my attention from the menu and it’s the item that made me want to visit Goodovening. It did not disappoint!
I love the sauce on the chicken, how crunchy each bite was and how delicious the sides were!
I will definitely be back to try the other items in the menu and to get those lovely fried chicken again
We ordered the half & half mixed flavoured chicken platter, oven roasted pork belly and cheese rolled omelette for a table of 4. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. If you're in Melbourne and looking for great food then the Good Ovening restaurant is a must. We came across this restaurant near our hotel. Ordered the half n half chicken, corn n cheese, coleslaw salad which was amazing. To top it off i ordered the soju peach, the rice ball was nice huge portions
Small Korean restaurant but serving great food especially the Korean soy sauce fried chicken. Probably one of the best Korean fried chicken in Melbourne.
Manager is amazingly nice who allowed us to sit inside even though we booked to be seated outside due to the cold. They were able to quickly accommodate us and the food was served hot and quick with amazing fried chicken and great vibes when I went with my friends
Man the food here was delicious. Kim chi pancake was the best I've had, and the chicken sure was the result of some pretty fine ovening.
One of the best Korean fried chickens you can get in Melbourne. A lot of Korean fusion that’s perfect for a late night snack! They do offer a great range of drinks and happy hours! Try the carbonara chicken and coronarita! The owner there do care about how the food is being served, always asks if the food/service was satisfactory!
The basic Soy and Garlic is superb. Very similar to what Korean shows present. The serving sizes are good as well. Chicken is very crispy and not greasy as well. Excellent.
Freshly made ready Korean comfort food. Good mix of fried chicken and a few healthy options as well. Quieter spot just off Queen Street. Friendly, prompt service and trendy decor.
I've been here several times for fried chicken now (and had it delivered once). Everytime I have eaten here the food has been awesome. The batter is super crisp and not too heavily coated, the Chick itself is still super juicy and not overcooked at all. Sauces have good variety too, and it delivered hot and fresh. Would definitely recommend.
Great customisable menu! The staff are very friendly and good at making suggestions. Free miso soup and a discount for paying with cash are offered. The food is fresh and they offer a number of healthy potions as well as delicious fried chicken.
Great ambience, with well-made food. It's quite dimly lit but I personally like that. It has an overall rustic brown wooden look. Carbonara chicken and half&half roasted chicken (honey soy garlic and original) are gooood. Quite recently they added poke bowls for lunch!
I had a take away through MealPal. Sweet & Spicy Karaagare Bowl.
Delicious, and good portion. Friendly staffs.
Garden platter ($34) was good healthy combination of Chicken& Vegetable.
We loved Carbonara Chicken ($35)!
They are generous and suitable for groups!
10/10. Very delicious fried chicken. Super service. Ordered 2 crazy chicken platters and they were huge! So yummy and a great variety of chicken, salad, rice balls, fried prawns, rice sticks, dumplings and oranges on the platters.
