Good Cycles Bike Hub reviews
20 Today 12 October afternoon went there…I don’t wanna use too many words to say that my experience was horribly disgusting.
THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE OF ALL TIME!
…I didn’t even have the chance to explain my issue!
Not even good experienced worker and lucky we are talking about bicycles! …maybe you have chosen the wrong job…do yourself a favour change career.
NO WAY coming back or even suggest this place to fiends or enemies!
I dropped in yesterday to get a new tyre for my bike and the staff person not only helped me getting a quality tyre but shared his own experience on how to do stuff the right way. Will be coming again for sure.
Great staff member and always helpful when I have dropped in with an urgent repair to keep me on the road.
The dude here's nice once you get to know him but boy did I cop a lecture for the audacious crime of having a bike with wear and tear. After dropping over $700 on a MAJOR service the bike lasted 6 lovely weeks (oh those lovely weeks with the clean hands on arrival at destination!) before developing issues with the cassette no longer gripping the chain. The hours they keep are rather inconvenient too and also a point dropped because I was a member during Covid and they were happy to take the money and not offer a service.
Seriously though, are bike parts made out of papier mache these days or something? (looking at you all squinty-eyes, Shimano)
If I could give zero stars I would. Unlike the other reviews, we had an unpleasant encounter. I don't really know much about bikes but when we walked in with ours they were really rude they didn't even bother looking at the bike and weren't much help.
We had a missing nut that was causing a problem on our scooter. The person at the bike hub was super helpful and fixed it for us in a jiffy! Thank you so much!
Should offer a nice cafe to complement the hub for cyclists gathering or stop over during the cycling journey.
Great bike service shop. Lucas was friendly, approachable and willing to help out. 100% now my go-to for future services, products and advice:)
Lucas at Dockland Bike Hub had done an amazing service on my super old model Giant road bike, it is as fast, smooth as a new bike now and gives me more enjoyable commuting rides to work, thanks
Excellent bike shop. Extremely friendly and obviously just interested in bikes and helping people, not obsessed in making money from customers. Always up for technical conversations full of good advice. I've been to ~8 different bike shops in Melbourne, and this is one of the friendliest and most approachable out there.
Wasn't sure about this place at first, seemed expensive, but the service is amazing, these guys know their stuff and will look after you. The location is great! The idea with the container building is awesome too!
As a person with low vision I called into this bike shop after my sight cane was run over by a cyclist, and the ball was dislodged. It was repaired instantly with a great smile and “glad I could help. ” What more could you ask for?
Great bike shop, super helpful and wonderful service!
Fixed my seat and gave my bike a quick look over to make sure the rest of my ride was uneventful!
Thanks heaps!
Lucas is a deadset legend, had a wobbly front wheel from when I had replaced it myself, and he fixed it up within 5 minutes, turned out I had put a washer on the outside instead of the inside, it was super quick job, so he gave me a solid discount and sent me on my steady way!
Will definitely be back!
Great little spot with everything you need in a pinch! Good prices on decent lights as well
The team here are the best! I stacked my bike this afternoon and wheeled my sorry bike and self here for a quick check up and was met with nothing but kindness and helpfulness.my bike got the once over and a new tyre on the spot and my badly grazed arm got a clean up and a bandage - not to mention the offer of food / water / a seat to make sure that I wasn’t too shaky before taking off again.cannot recommend highly enough!
I was very pleased with the quality of the bike service at Good Cycles in Docklands. The bike is amazingly smooth and quiet - almost like new. A long standing issue on the bike has been addressed that previous workshops were not able to resolve. Naturally the person performing the service was quite knowledgeable in the mechanics of the bike. The workshop is also conveniently located for a same day turn around if you live/work in Docklands. I will most certainly come back for the next service.
Went in to get a kickstand installed on my bike. Friendly staff, provided fast and helpful service.
I've tried this place twice now for emergency repairs on my commute. The same mechanic on both occasions wasn't interested in taking a quick look at the issue despite no one else in the shop. Basic customer service skills are lacking here. Don't bother them with your patronage.
The happy helpful guys at this place are never too busy to stop and help with tiny little problems like a worn magnet. They are consistently helpful and generous with their time and expertise. I could not recommend them more highly.not sure why someone thought they were hard to find, can't miss them, right on the water across the road from the stadium.thanks guys:)
