Gong Cha Chinatown reviews
12I come here all the time and there's no problems but i feel bad so im making a review cus i came a little before closing and the woman was nice but she was definitely so tired im sorry
We order 3 drinks without any toppings they gave me thick straw and I asking the can I have thin straw… they girl told me you need to pay extra money….
How rude is the girl? They gave me wrong straw I just want to change what I need!
If you can’t do good in hospitality just change your career!
Eve one star don’t want to give!
The worst service ever. After waiting a good 15-20mins, noticing the numbers before me received their drinks and I haven’t, I walked up to check if I missed it. I saw my hot drink left sitting uncovered on the counter for ages before someone finally put a lid on it.
By the time they served me, it was lukewarm. The lady in the photo, circled in orange, finally called my number, then shockingly scolded me for presenting my receipt on the counter. She shouted at me to put it in the bin when I was showing her my number. I was so dumbfounded at her scolding her customers that I couldn’t even bother responding. No word of thanks whatsoever, I was better a fly being swatted off dismissively.
I was so disappointed I decided to walk over to Gongcha on Elizabeth St and thank God I, they were fabulous, very professional and polite. I DO NOT recommend Gongcha Chinatown at all. If you have a couple of minutes, swing over to the one on Elizabeth St instead. It is worth the walk.
Ps: I want to note that the lady at the cashier was alright, so it’s only fair to highlight the unprofessional, crass and rude one. Obviously they are understaffed, but her poor attitude is simply laughable.
Tonight, I bought two cups of milk tea at Gong Cha opposite Melbourne’s QV. Since the points reached 10 points, the clerk Irene asked me to exchange them for free drinks immediately. I said that since three cups of drinks are too many, I hope I can save them for the next exchange or do not need to exchange wasted drinks. The clerk said it was not possible and said that the order had already been taken, and turned around with a stinky face. I tried to find the manager. The manager, Aiden, said that he could not understand English and kept rolling his eyes. The experience of buying milk tea this time was too bad, and there were already many comments about the attitude of the staff on Google, but there was no improvement. I am very disappointed and will not come again
My favourite is the lychee Oolong tea. You can ask the staff to replace the aloe with other toppings. Fast and accurate service. Recommended.
I rate gong cha as one of the best bubble tea joints. My order is a large winter melon with triple jelly. I would recommend. I find it annoying that they don’t do taro with dairy free milk and the boba is better at the home made spots like Xing Fu Tang.
Oolong with ai-yu. Sweetness and ice as requested. Thurs night and thus no wait. Thumbs up!
I didn’t wait very long for my drink despite the long line.really friendly customer service!)
Most staff are pleasant except Quennie. She's rude and impatient when taking orders and dealing with customers. Exceptionally poor customer service. Definitely lacking the very basic training in customer service.
Just like any other gongcha world wide, never disappoint, quality assurance is amazing and always consistent.
I ordered taro milk tea and milk tea with bubbles.i didnt like the taro milk one.it tastes so bad.but like the other one. One more thing is i have asked for medium sugar.but they didnt put any.
I just bought 1 of their milk tea with soy milk, however when I grabbed it, I found that it was not soy milk, cuz I'm a dairy free person. I went back to ask for my original order 'soy milk milk tea'. And the trainee gave me a grumpy face and said that I didn't tell them I need the soyal instead of the milk. Well, at the end, she of course made another one for me, but that was the most disgusting thing that I wanna say. The "soy milk milk tea" which she made for me was totally water and tea, maybe 0.1 soy milk, I don't know. What I can say is, I'm never coming back and I'll tell all of my friends this story.
