Goldfields Motel Stawell

Positives - Spacious room with Netflix access.
Negatives - On a noisy road with a lot of passing traffic. Glasses in the cupboards were dirty. Strange layout. Did not contact about a pillow I left behind.

Regularly stay here for work, friendly and super helpful staff, great meals you can order at the front desk. Rooms are always clean and tidy, I always have a great night's sleep! Affordable prices with exceptional service.

Stay was very good. Very clean and confortable. Smart tv large with youtube and netflix (bring your subscription.) Very helpful reception to address all problems.

Clean and tidy.
Might be older style but owners have done well with it.
Extremely helpful and friendly staff who are happy to offer you any advice or assistance you may require.
Definitely be returning next time we are in the area.

Room #23:
Every thing is super old and broken.
Zero rating for cleaning. The cups were dirty and unwashed (see the photo).
There were two hungry jacks bottles left in the fridge (see the photo).
The fridge shelf was broken.
The shower head was broken and loose.
The toaster was broken and the bread was half burnt and half untoasted.
Too much noise from the trucks on the main street which wakes you up milion times during the night.
The hot and cold taps in the bathroom were separate and it makes washing your hands annoying.
The website says the check-in time is up to 10 pm, but was called and asked to be there by 9 pm.

Room we got was clean and decent size, Old style furniture in good condition. Clean sheets n coverings. Comfy beds. Newly done bathroom. Convenient location on A8,

Everything you could want from a 3 star motel. Cheap, clean, well located, comfortable. We got in at 8pm and reception was still manned.

Older motel but spotlessly clean. Friendly staff. A tiny bit of highway noise but not enough to really disturb your stay.

Good luck sleeping, the trucks are so loud they shake the walls and windows.

It is beautiful place to stay. Swimming pool is amazing. The family room has the kitchen with all the equipments for cooking and dinning.

Impeccable service and a beautifully preserved and maintained example of the classic colonial style motel that's slowly and sadly disappering from Australia's accommodation landscape. Stawell is going to be a regular destination for us thanks in no small part to Gill and his wonderful establishment. If you're looking for accommodation that is the perfect example of the great motel experience of days gone by: this is a must-stay. Call it old fashioned, but timeless is a better descriptor for the Goldfields Motel. Can't wait to visit again!

Place is perfect, spotless, easy late check in. Has everything you need, including a big TV with built in Netflix, extra pillows, blankets, tea, coffee, biscuits, toiletries and a very comfy king sized bed! Will return again

Nice room, the blinds were good, bed was comfy and it was nice having a smart tv but the antenna connection was loose at the back of the tv which meant it was hard to pickup local tv reception.
Shower was really good water pressure.

This motel sits on the western hwy. While the rooms are neat and clean the road noise from trucks moving through town doesn't allow for a quiet sleep. The restaurant appears to be closed. Value for money?

It is Motel fit for boys trips not suitable for families.

As we compare about price it’s cheaper than motels in halls gap and you will get maccas and h jacks near to motel. Rooms are very good as per price, very clean and gives you everything you need for stay. There is pool and bbq area if you need. Manager Gill is very friendly. Will definitely visit next time.

No highway noise inside room.
Welcoming reception and staff.
Easy check out.
Plus near by wooli and McD.
Will definitely come back.

Such a wonderful motel! The staff are lovely to chat to there is enough on site parking and the rooms are spotless.
