Golden Heritage Accommodation reviews
40So Lovely! Great Apartment! Comfortable. Clean. Relaxed. Amazing Service. Felt Very Welcome and At Home. Highly Recommended
Really enjoyed our stay in one of the stand alone cabins over the long weekend. Cabin was spotless upon arrival, kitchen has everything you need for a couple of days. Nice touch having the heater on upon arrival, cosy and warm on a cold day. Situated a few kilometres from town away from other weekenders. Will definitely visit again.
Rooms / beds / facilities are great. Have stayed twice in different rooms. Very friendly helpful service. Highly recommend Golden Heritage, nice and close to town too. Go for the Gorge road walk, it's not far from the accommodation.
This cute place in Beechworth is just what we were needing - very decent sized room for our family of three, great to have a pool to cool off in, and whilst not right in the middle of town (a couple of mins drive down the road), it was so picturesque and was just what we needed for a couple of nights. Staff super friendly and helpful; we'll definitely return.
Lovely place to stay. Room was spacious and clean. Staff were very friendly. We had an amazing sunset view from our balcony. We would stay here again.
The lady at the front desk was great and the room and premises were excellently maintained.
Nothing was outdated i felt very comfortable there.
Only one negative I have would be the water pressure in the shower was low and took a bit of fiddling to get the temp right. That’s me being picky though.
And a great stay and would stay again.
Don’t make a habit on writing reviews but we had such a terrible stay, I feel it is warranted. Firstly, they have a dog that sits in their gated garden situated poolside. This dog whines and barks at your when you are in the pool.
The bath in our cottage looks as though it has black mould growing under the silicon. This needs to be looked into as if it is black mould, it is a health and safety concern. I had forgotten to mention this on check out so hopefully the owners read this.
Their behaviour and customer service is terrible. On the last night we had 2 of our booked cottages come together for a BBQ, BBQ is supplied. At one point around 8pm one of the guests were loud and swearing. The owner came over quite abruptly and told us to stop. We apologised straight away and the one person making the noise stopped immediately. Next thing you know, the sprinklers positioned directly where the rest of us were sitting, no where near the loud guest, had been turned on. All of our phones and food were soaked through. I didn’t see this myself but my step daughter recalled seeing the owners walking past their door and laughing. The sprinklers turned off minutes after they were on. We stayed 3 nights here and not once were the sprinklers turned on at this time and this happened to be a Saturday night. I brought this up on checkout and the women on the desk offered what I felt to be a disingenuous apology as she kept a smile on her face. Her husband apparently turned them off the minute they witnessed it happening, but they certainly did not come over to apologies for this and to check everything was ok.
The next thing to happen was the lights outside being turned off completely. We had been out there every night and at 10pm the lights dim. This time, Saturday night, it was completely off and pitch black. We tried turning the light off at the switch to reset and have some light. They would turn straight back off minutes later. This is very hazardous as you can’t see anything and there are steps leading to the porch. Again this was brought up with the reception at check out and it was passed of a unusual and they had no idea.
We have stayed here previously and the last owners were a lovely, welcoming older couple. They are the reason we chose here to stay. We will not be returning.
First time visiting the area absolutely loved our stay definitely making another visit soon for a little bit longer
Brilliant spot in the ski season or for interstate travel, even moreso if you have Tesla to charge!
I was surprised by the receptionist/owners reply to me when we booked in. I had booked the room and provided my credit card previously. I asked to see the room prior to moving in. She told me that there was as no point since i would be charged whether i stayed or left. It is not unusual when travelling to ask to look at a room prior to moving in. She said that she had never been asked that question in 15 years. I asked to see the room again and was shown the room. It was a passable country motel room with country farm view
The room was clean and reasonably sized but needed some updating.
The owner did apologise subsequently saying it had been a hard day. She later bought a bottle of wine as a gift.
Great location. Big bedrooms. Lovely view. Coffee pod machine in our room! Good thick towels! Highly recommend
Disgusting place - dead frogs in the pool, stinky carpets - taps too big for the sink so water runs on the floor, old tired bedding and VERY poor customer service. Told our entire party to leave the building within the hour as soon as I told them about my Covid positive result (while my parents didn’t even fall into the family isolation rules), threaten to send the police at me when I said it might take me a bit longer to pack and organise my next move, and on top of it they stole our entire fare for 3 nights x2 rooms without any sign of care or remorse. Old grumpy people. Stay away at all cost! Plenty of other lovely motels in Beechworth.
On arrival, we were warmly welcomed and the manager provided very friendly helpful service throughout our stay. We had a good size room, comfortably furnished, comfortable king size bed. Small basic kitchenette, with small fridge, suitable for making simple breakfast. The sink tap/water mixer was too big for the small sink - made it difficult to wash dishes. The ensuite is small and the very small hand basin hampered shaving and brushing teeth. The shower is ok. The living area floors creak. Wi-Fi was not strong. The laundry has a good washing machine that worked well. We had to park our car some distance from our room which was inconvenient. The room opened onto decking with comfortable chairs and a nice rural view.
We booked for 1nights stay in a King bedroom. The property is very clean, the staff very friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and the room contained 2 lovely chairs a small table with 2 chairs and another small patio table and chairs on the balcony looking across the valley.
The bathroom ensuite was very clean with towels and toiletries provided if required. There is also a barfridge with filled icecube trays! Our cooked breakfast of poached eggs was perfect.
Due to circumstances beyound our our control we needed to go home and isolate as a Grandson came down ill. After explaining the circumstances the room charge was waived for the booking for tonights stay as the cancellation was outside the 72hrs grace period. Thank you Golden Heritage Motel.
We will be booking more accommodation with them in the future.
Clean and spacious room with couch, and eating area, plentiful amenities, and very clean bathroom. Only 3 minutes to town centre.
Time and again Jo has accommodated various members of my immediate and extended family - in the self contained cottages, spa cottages and motel rooms ensuring a relaxed and stress-free time together. Five stars. Thank you.
Awesome place! Super clean, large rooms with great facilities, book direct and ask for a room that looks down the valley for an amazing view.
A nice place to stay, our room opened onto the rear deck facing the gorge. Beechworth is a definite place to visit, so much charm.
Wonderful accommodation - 1 bedroom cabin with pri access, good air con, a pool and close to all the things! Will definitely return
Absolutely spotless room. Great service and recommended local food places for dinner. Highly recommend
