Very disappointed. Dietary requirement not dealt with. Rang up prior and also requested plain rice on the day as Coeliac. No gluten free option available. Nothing to eat for lunch!

I always go to a restaurant where I ate the most rubbish food today. I was so angry that I went in and sat down for half an hour. The fried food truck came three or four times and the steamed food truck didn't come once. Then I asked the waiter to order chicken feet and tripe, and then I saw the steam truck next to it. I walked around the table and waited for nothing. I asked but asked me to wait. The aunts in the store had a very bad attitude. She was menopausal and others owed her money. I usually tolerated it. Today, it looked particularly unpleasant. Then another 40 minutes passed by the steamer. I walked around for several times and saw that all the chicken feet on the car were spinning. My order hadn't been delivered yet. If I had to wait for someone to come over, even if it came, the car wouldn't stop until I finished eating and went to check out. There were no chicken feet. Even if the car is gone, others will take it. If you want to eat here, you have to look like a ghost. Or you have to coax those old ladies like a grandson, otherwise they will ignore you at all.

It's been a while since we've been here and we came for yumcha. The food comes out quite quick but some of the dishes were lukewarm and no longer crisp/overcooked. There wasn't a wide range of dumplings and we waited a while as we saw the food trolleys pass by a few times with the same food. The only one dumpling available was the har gow which was a bit overcooked before the desserts came out and did a few circles. Overall, the savoury dishes weren't that great but the desserts were good.

Terrible place, it says it on the menu and they don’t serve it. My god such garbage quality and service. Overpriced as well.

Avoid this restaurant at all costs if you don’t want to pay money & experience extremely terrible customer service.

Not a good experience this time as not many dishes for yum cha was available, the food trolleys were slow to come out and some of the dishes arrived cold. In addition they are not part of the Vic government's dining and entertainment program and so could not claim the 25% rebate. Most disappointed that the standard has fallen.

Regular visitors for over 9 years. Great yum Cha. Family favourite. Reasonably priced, very good trolly service adding to a great yum Cha ambiance. Must try.

Great food and service. I have been here many many times both for dinner and yum cha. Food is authentic, quick and well priced - just the way Chinese food should be. If only the live seafood was a little more reasonably priced then that would make it perfect!

We went for dim sum at Gold Leaf at Springvale on Friday at 11.30 AM. We waited until 12.15 PM, and there was still no steam dim sums on sight. Then, we noticed that there was only one trolley cart with Steam Dim Sums. There were around 20 tables at the restaurant. There was nothing left by the time the trolley cart came to us. The supervisor indicated that we had to wait for the next round. This is what I call a waste of time - terrible!

We (3 of us) left with only drinking a pot of tea that costs us $2.40 per person, and a plate of Lap Chiong glutinous rice costs $9.

We noticed that the teacups and plates were chipped and stained. This place is appalling, and mind you, this dim sum place is not reasonably priced as well.

I hope my review will shed some light on those who wish to visit this place in the future.

When there are so many dim sum places in Melbourne to choose from, why should I go back to a place where the customer service is rude? No thank you! Save my money on somewhere else.

Great yum cha, trolley ladies so lovely and wait stuff. However the girl MORN who threw my receipt at me and rolled her eyes at me left a very bad taste and ruined the experience. Management needs to speak to her.

Giving one star only because I can’t go lower. I recently relocated from Sydney to Melbourne and want to find a good go to yum cha place. This place was recommended by a few people and it was the worst yum cha I’ve had in years. Rice paper rolls were coarse and bland and chicken feet was also lacking flavour. This one place made me reconsider my move.

So fresh and piping hot meal. Very tasty fresh, again pleased with meal will return again as food has not dropped from last visit

Great food, loved the lobster noodle with ginger and spring onion. Roast pork was top notch too. However don't expect much phone conversation, best to talk face to face.

Came here for yumcha and was left quite disappointed.

Food was great, as it always is at any Gold Leaf franchise, however service was incredibly slow.

It was so slow that there was only one dim sum cart going around at any one time, and one fried cart. The popular ones like siu mai and har gow came out after 30 minutes.

Much better than I remembered this time around. Service is timely but the number of trolleys circulating was slow and low. Waited for a while for the steam items to arrive. I don't understand why dessert trolleys came first and made rounds for half an hour before the savoury trolleys came. The selection was limited and lacking what other yum cha places offer. The taste was better than my previous experience. Some items were not flavourful but tasted similar to each other. Getting a bit pricey too, as we always wonder how a dish is classified as large or deluxe compared to small. I would come back again but probably try other places to make more comparisons.

Had dinner with a large group. Richard was awesome, very friendly and helpful. The other staff were so so. I'd recommend the lobster banquet which was well priced.

This Springvale Shopping Ctre is absolutely nice as I can get all asian foods & products plus vegies fruits everything there Finally has plenty of chinese restaurants & Cafe shops The Gold leaf is the best one

They can't even do a simple Special Fried Rice right! The rest of the food not really up to the price they're charging. Don't see a reason going back to this place anymore after being their customer for a good 10years.

Yum Cha my favorite food to eat anytime of the week, I must say the Golden leaf has an exellent Yum Cha however getting a little pricey, however the food is of Excellent quality! So forgiven.the service can at times be a little slow during the week.faster once seated on a weekend! It gets so busy you wait in Queue most weekends. But worth the wait! It would be a more pleasant experience if the staff and management would smile- and make you feel welcome! That’s sets a restaurants apart from an average experience to excellent! Other wise we love going there!
