We lost our course case with another court because of the negligence, foolishness, lack of professionalism by these people. Worst decision to go here to get a will.
No value for human life.

0 star. I read the reviews of South Melbourne branch and was quite satisfied by the reviews.
I am the best friend and carer for a person called Jake (name changed). He fell seriously ill a few weeks ago and decided to make a will. I rang a few lawyers for 'quotes' and finally rang GTC as the office was in South Melbourne which is close to us. I rang the number for SOuth Melbourne office, but was offered a call back. I got a call from a 07 (Queensland) number. The lady gave me a quote which was quite pricey.but she offered an interview with the lawyer the very next day. We were happy about that and went for it. The appointment was offered in Williamstown for the next day. Upon reaching the location, we couldn't find GTC Lawyers. The signboard was for an accountant firm. The receptionist informed us that GTC hire rooms off these people. We were greeted by a young man who offered consultation, took down all details and assured us that they would get right into making our will. At the end of this meeting he informed us that any subsequent meetings can be held in the city. It has been 1 month plus 4 days since this meeting and they have not got back to us with any serious progress. Initial request for information from their side was 15 days later, asking for some missing information such as D.o. B.which we supplied. If you ring them on the number provided in the email, (landline), there is no response. One has to write to them saying - Please ring back urgently on such and such number to be able to speak with someone. After one such call, 7 days since the initial appointment, they assured us that our matter was urgent and important and the lawyer would be on the case as soon as possible.
It has been 35 days altogether and still there is no will in place.
If you are GTC Lawyers, read this
1. The next time someone wants to make an appt.for a will, atleast make it in your own office.
If you have done this - 'booking a random room' for the purpose of urgency, well there has been no movement on your part since then.
2. If someone wants to make a will urgently, it may be another case to you but it is life and death for us.
My friend somehow overcame his serious illness and is now better. What would be his fate if something serious happened to him? He is due for surgery PLUS 2 different cancer treatment appointments at the Alfred hospital. He can be called in at anytime.
If you are considering this mob,
DO NOT GET THEM TO MAKE YOUR WILL AS IT WILL NOT BE TREATED AS URGENT MATTER. We have told them about the serious health concerns and the surgery which is due very soon. I am shocked that they would treat the matter like this.
Now I feel left in between.unsure of whether to go to another mob or wait forever. I am still waiting for your response on this matter. Case no. 233004

I just wanted to say how disappointed I am in this service.  I was initially told in my first consultation that I wouldn’t have to spend that much and I have a good case. Only to find out a few years later after paying each invoice that I also have to enforce the debt myself after receiving the court order and that’s going to cost even more and not even a guaranteed that this will recoup the total debt.
Disappointed that I have had three different lawyers looking after the case, one who just hung up during a conversation and didn’t call back and also thought my case was criminal when it was civil. That aside, I wish they were honest with me as I never would have proceeded with the case or wasted my time or money if I knew it was not worth it. All they care about is transferring the money into their account and calling to make sure you do. They also work under the name Armstrong legal. Best not to waste your time or money and look elsewhere for assistance.

I saw them about 2 years speeding fine that was going to go to court. All they cared was about transferring money into their account. For them to represent me in court was going to cost more than fine itself. I told them I didn't want to go ahead and I never heard from them again. They gave me no legal advice. I would never use them again. In the meantime I rang a couple of other solicitors and they gave me legal advise and also told that their fees would be more than the fine. This was GTC should have told me instead of wasting my money. I will not recommend them to anyone.

Horrible experience from these thieves who doesn't care about the problems people are facing in marriage breakdown and they see it as an opportunity to charge thousands of dollars. STAY AWAY FROM THESE THIEVES! They ripped us off and didn't write a single letter for us. Bunch of disgrace to the law society. Should be shut down!

A terrible experience - Inspired a great deal of confidence through early interactions, however that is where it ended! I strongly advise exploring all options and avoid an impulse purchase when it comes to selecting legal representation.

Fast responsiveness (called on a Sunday afternoon), had meeting with my assigned lawyer on the Tuesday, legal matter resolved in my favour by Friday afternoon.

One fateful phone call to these jokers put me many hundreds of dollars out of pocket due to their ineptness. Never again. Stuffed up a basic transfer of lease with a few minor changes on it that much it's not funny. Complete balls up by Kieran and Co. They'll take all your money the first day before they do anything no worries at all. $295 just for a quick 5-10 minute phone chat then $350 for what Kieran said should've taken about 20-30 mins. Balls up after balls up I got what I initially asked for 3 weeks later. Due to my commercial landlord's solicitor having to send back documents because Go To Court hadn't followed instructions correctly the fees I had to pay my landlord's solicitor and my real estate agent went up and up.and I was still paying rent while waiting so long for something Kieran said would take a couple of days. A few times Kieran said he'd do something the following day and get back to me then.nothing, I wouldn't hear from him. I had to follow things up constantly. After all this I asked for my costs to be brought down from $645 to $500 due to the whole saga. ($500 is the average price for what I needed done) Not a chance, bad luck. Documents were even sent back from my landlord's solicitor because they weren't scanned correctly.twice! Surely, having stung me for $645, you'd double check something so basic after all the stuff around? So here I am, furious. I probably wouldn't be as angry as I am if they brought my costs down by just $145, which is petty change to a law firm. I mightn't even written this honest review. Also, I contacted them initially because they're listed as having an address on Collins St, which is close to where I work. Ends up when I visited their address on Collins St there's no Go to Court office there at all, not one staff member. It's a communal office space where they hire a boardroom when needed. Like I said, never again.
