Go Ride A Wave - Torquay

Joel was the instructor that me and my dad had for that day and he was so sweet and calm. I have already been here a couple of months ago and it was still amazing as I remembered. Joel was like your regular surfer dude. Thanks mate for an amazing lesson.

My daughter had a lesson here and it was fantastic. She really enjoyed it and learnt alot. The instructors were great and really patient with kids. Equipment was fine and everything worked smoothly. Would definitely recommend for adults and kids.

I had a 2-hour Surf lesson there. Cobba was a good instructor and always keeping it light and fun.

Cobba was fantastic! He catered the lesson to each of us, was enthusiastic, kind and very helpful.

Super nice staff and instructors. Made you feel welcome straight away. Instructor was Blake who explained things clearly and easy to understand. Had a great time. Highly recommend.

Taught Safety and Riding Technique really well and also adjusted to the varying abilities of the group really well for those learning how to swim.
The wetsuits kept me really warm and I had fun!

Did a surfing lesson here and had an amazing time. Got great instructions, as well as helpful advice to improve my technique and was able to stand up on the surfboard for the first time. Would highly recommend for beginners as well as experienced surfers.

My friend and i went surfing because it was a hot day and we decided to hire boards from this place.over the years i've been hiring surf boards from go ride a wave and it's always a great price for the amount of time for those like myself who don't own a surf board.great service.

My 2 kids had a lesson yesterday with me in the water to help. Fair to say I was no help at all. Thank goodness for the amazing instructors all our instructors (Hannah, Tim and Jai) were super helpful, knowledgeable, friendly and encouraging. They all took the time to help both my kids, who are total beginners to not only surfing hut also being in the ocean. We all had a fantastic time despite being anxious and nervous and this is a direct result of the instructors support. A fantastic all inclusive program for the absolute beginner. I am sure if you are more advanced it can be tailored to your level. Could not recommend this group more.

My son and I enrolled in a beginners surf lesson and hired a surf board and wet suit the following day to put our learning to practice. Mark and his team were so friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Thanks so much.

The team at 'Go ride a Wave' were super insightful and helpful. By the end of a two-hour lesson, I managed to stand and surf as a first-time beginner.

FANTASTIC
I arrived with 4 kids, for a lesson at 10 am.
There was a problem with our side of the booking porcess, one of my charges was booked at Anglesea not Torquay DOH.
Tim checked ratios and legalities, to take Angus GRAW needed to secure an extra qualified resource to cover my mistake. They did not blink and called in a last minute instructor.
When does this happen ever?

You guys seriously ROCK.
Oh and the structure and content of the lessons is top notch all four of my charges can now stand and steer the boards.

I enrolled my two teenage daughters at Go Ride a Wave and the whole process was easy and hassle free - from booking online through to participating in the two hour session. Equipment (boards and wetsuits) was excellent, as were the instructors. We’re definitely going to undertake another session/s with Go Ride a Wave Torquay.

We went with my partner to ask for a private surf lesson for himself. The girl took his contact details and ensure she will give him a call once she found the available teacher.
Well, after 3 days we are still waiting for her call.
It seems that their business goes that well they don’t even need more costumers.

Had a good instructor Chelsea and we did our surf at Ocean Grove instead.
Great 2 hours and if you persevere, you would be able to stand after 2 mornings.
All inclusive cost for the lesson. Wet suits, board, lesson.
Called to book and it was easy too.

We put our 2 sons in the surfing lesson for beginners, the next day they want to hire the boards for more practice. We did that, an hour into the hire time the storm/lightning came, we returned the board and asked if we could use the rest of the hire time -3 more hours the next day. Maddy was so kind, she agreed to it. The next day was Saturday, we did not know that Go Ride a Wave finished at 2pm, turned up just when Chelsea about to pack up and leave, we asked if we could have the board and return it the next morning as we will leave Ocean Grove then. Chelsea was so kind, she agreed. Our boys had a fantastic afternoon. You guys are the highlight in our Ocean Grove trip.
