Glow Perinatal Emotional Health and Wellbeing Clinic reviews
25My cousin referred me to Dr Adaobi. It takes time to get a first appointment here so I think if you are planning on getting pregnant, make an appointment in advance (you can always cancel later if you feel you don't need it). Dr Adaobi is great for women of colour in our collective experience. It's not easy to choose a psychiatrist or psychologist because it's really horses for courses. You got to connect with the person and that won't always happen. But she is my type of person and has made me feel very together and organised for the post-partum period! Which in turn helps soothe my particular brand of anxiety.
After 3 months, I got a text message saying, the clinic has received my referral letter! What a wait! A courtesy email or phone call would have been nice to say that the clinic has received the referral letter and there will be a bit of a wait and someone will get in contact with you either via email or call on the next step! This approach would have been nice to give an update! Therefore very disappointing "Glow Clinic".
The other clinic that I got referred to and ended up going with, was good at getting back to me! Within 2 weeks I received an email and got a call, and an appointment was made!
The whole team at Glow are amazing. I started pilates with Genia when my baby was 7 weeks on. They were so welcoming of me and accommodated any way they could for me to bring my baby along too.
In the thick of recovery this support means the world. I could add something back into my life that was just for me.
Thank you Genia and the whole team for supporting me and my little one so well.
I saw Genia pre and post birth to help with pelvic floor strengthening. She was amazing and so patient. Highly recommend the Pilates class that she runs as well. Was thankful they’re baby friendly so I could bring bub along.
I saw GLOW Pediatrician Dr Paula Cuoco & Catherine McPhee for my daughter. They were absolutely lovely! My daughter felt at ease with both practitioners and we have received the best care. Thank you!
If I could give zero stars, I would.
I waited over 3 months for an appointment. The “psychologist” I saw asked me the same questions over and over and offered no support whatsoever. She asked questions like “can you think of any other similar situations where you have been trapped in a house for long periods of time” WHAT? ! Unless you have been taken hostage, I can’t imagine anyone having experienced a circumstance like lockdown. When I said no she said “the reason I ask is so we can think of how you have overcome those situations. ” again, WHAT? !
She then went silent for a long time and I said “I don’t know what you want me to say” and she said, I don’t know, im stuck too. ”
I then said I had to leave the call as I was visibly upset and receiving nothing but ridiculous questions and answers from this woman.
They did not even email, attempt to call, nothing. They did not care at all for how upset I was or show any duty of care.
Waste of time and money and I’ve come out feeling worse.
WOW! What can I say!
This year Glow Clinic or May I say Dr Adaobi really showed her true colours.
If anyone is thinking of seeing a psychiatrist permanently DO NOT GO TO GLOW!
This year has being a very tough YEAR for me due to COVID and other situation.
If you want to be heard do not go to GLOW!
If you want to feel worthless sad and guilty then I suggest you go to glow.
Early this year DR Adaobi put me through hell and back due to me finding a psychologist even thou she has ones in her clinic but due to them leaving after a year or so she suggest I find another one out of her clinic, Due to covid it as being next to inpossible because not all psychologist deal with the issues I need them for!
I have really tried hard but it was not hard enough of Adaobi. She believes I didn’t try hard enough even thou I went through at least 10 plus clinics.
I put a review up a few months ago in regards to how poorly I was treated by this doctor and then sent her email stating I will not be coming back due to she has caused me to get worst with my mental health and cause me lots of my trauma to arise again,
She emailed me saying she was happy to see me to try fix what she had broken, well silly me gave her the benefit of the dealt so I thought I would give her another chance. WOW how wrong was I the first time back she cut our some of my tablets I believe for spite not only did she do that she also said how do I know you want get upset with me again!
Now I know the reason she pulled me back in was for me to take the review off well her reverse phycology worked till I was on to her.
We had a few more sessions after that and she kept asking me when will I find another doctor so she could stop seeing me I would get off the phone feeling sick and in disbelief!
The first visit back when I saw her I said I have referrals with two doctor but would love to fix our relationship due to I though she was sincere but OMG was I wrong!
The visits after well how I felt after seeing her was just beyond comprehension the anxiety and depression was beyond the joke.
I was sick of feeling that way and went and saw a new psychiatrist, I am so happy I did that because I now have a psychiatrist that listens to me that has compassion for me and at least now I feel I want to be here on this earth, because oh my the way she was making me feel was literally beyond the joke.
I honestly believe she should no longer be in this profession due to how she doesn’t consider people’s feelings and does the opposite of what the patient wants,
Having the nods when your talking to her makes it clear she obviously is in it for money not for real compassion.
My child was the first glow baby that was born at the clinic and it makes me very sad to tell her one day what this women has done to me!
If she has half a conscious she will take a long break from her field or maybe get re trained again because wow I really needed to tell my story because I don’t want anyone going through the year I have being with her.
Time isn't one of the things they value and are in no rush to get people help. Very poor service
My wife received great care from the team at GLOW Clinic. Would highly recommend their professional services. It really helped our family through a difficult time.
Edit: Glow clinic has reached out to rectify this situation, they did go above and beyond to apologise and make different arrangements for me to be seen, they have also reimbursed the cost of putting my daughter into childcare for the day that the appointment was missed. Their apology was sincere and very much appreciated, I have now booked in for an appointment at a different time.
Would absolutely not recommend. I have been struggling with post partum anxiety and booked an appointment 3 weeks in advance. Due to Melbourne lockdown restrictions I was unable to have my daughter cared for and booked and paid for her to be in daycare for an entire day for this appointment. This morning (day of my appointment) I received a text message confirming my appointment for next week instead of today, when I called and showed them the appointment confirmation email with today's date they said they'd get back to me. Over an hour later they call to say the best they can do is late this afternoon when my toddler will be home again, otherwise I will need to wait until next week or month. To say I'm disappointed is a huge understatement, to ask for help and support is tough, then to wait weeks for that help only for that to be taken away is devastating. I won't be coming back here and will be recommending people don't waste their time.
So relieved to have found Dr Jacqui (paediatrician) to monitor my daughter’s ADHD when her previous paediatrician retired. Jacqui’s warmth, kindness and empathy puts my daughter at ease and she looks forward to her check ups. Has offered some excellent advice which has really helped. So glad I found this practice!
Helpful and professional staff who have supported me throughout my pregnancy as well as postnatally
They were all the kindest people, from the friendly receptionist to the caring psychiatrist and sensitive psychologist. They took such good care of me. Would definitely recommend to all of the new mothers out there.

Nice staff, good location very nice facilities. Offered to change my appointment last minute for me when I was running late, appreciate it greatly.
Reception are terrible at passing on messages and made several frustrating mistakes. The providers however are very good.
I waited 2 months for the appointment, then waited on the day as the appointment was 45 minutes late, all to hear information i had already read online and to have my baby weighed and measured like it was a maternal nurse appointment. It doesn’t feel like a specialist, just go to the doctor you’ll get better care, waste of money go treat yourself instead.
P.s The 5 star reviews are from the staff!
Disappointing. The psychologist there makes me feel even worse TWICE. They care more about earning income then helping patient.
I have had nothing but great experiences at Glow. I have dealt with Adaobi Udechuku, Belinda Freake and Sofia Galgut, and they have all been absolutely amazing. They are caring and patient and they really listen to you. They are stern when needed and very knowledgeable in their field. I have been going there for almost a year and a half now (currently just for maintenance) and couldn’t recommend them enough.
