Be aware the red wine is served chilled, even in the colder months its served almost icy. Not sure why anyone would refrigerate their red wine other than to store it longer, I think cask wine would work better here in this venue. The pinot noir we ordered was served chilled and when asked why we were given a strange look and response by the waitress as though we all had horns. Non the less the chilled wine was rather ordinary and oxidised. This is one venue i did not enjoy and wont be back for the wine. Not to mention the price escalation post Covid.

My favourite place to go for takeaway natural wine, or sit in for a glass & chat to the warm & super charming team that is Ron & Rahel (power couple).

One of my new favourite spots, it has a fantastic range of wine far beyond the boring usual reds and whites. Skin contact, volcanics, if you're wanting something fresh and new, go here.

It's a good year for wine. This establishment is proof.

Absolutely fantastic wine, great concept. The wine bottles are sturdy and don't leak so you can grab a bottle on the way home from work and not worry about future you.

Love the idea! Would definitely visit again. Nice range of local wines, plus owners Rahel and Ron were very friendly and knowledgeable. Lots of great cafes/restaurants nearby too, so you can go before or after.

"IT WILL CHANGE THE WAY WE DRINK WINE"

Imagine this; you walk in, you taste it, you choose a bottle for it, you take it home.

And it doesn't stop there. You take your bottle back and you refill it.

Locally carefully picked wine list, supporting what is truly ours. All the wines are so different, not your off-the-shelf choices. This is what you get to impress or be impressed.

Personal favourites; Dirty Black Denim Cowabunga (red) and Galli Vineyard Sunbury Chardonnay (white).

We feel lucky to have discovered you.

An amazing array of local sustainable wines, incredible staff that know everything about the wine and winemakers, incredible prices, growlers of wine to take with you and an awesome night out. Glou has refillable wine by the carafe, growler or glass and the staff will make it easy to pick a wine that suits your preferences! They may even let you taste a few before picking one to drink! By cutting out a lot of the transport and manufacturing costs, Glou has been able to provide delicious wines at incredibly affordable prices, giving you all the power!

Rahel and Ron definitely know what's up when it come to sustainability and their vino. Sat in venue for over an hour trying almost everything on tap while Ron gave me the chat on each wine maker.
The guys do take-away vino using their kegged wine system and encourage their guests to bring their bottles back to re-use them. Again - Sustainability is the the aim of the game here.
I was lucky enough to roll through on a Sunday when they had a DJ playing which created an awesome casual experience for my partner and I.
Can not fault the place.

Glou is Melbourne’s newest wine bar which makes purchasing wine more sustainable and affordable. With all their wines on tap, they are available for purchase in 500,1000 or 2000 ml reusable bottles (or for just $8 a glass in store). The couple who started it are incredibly passionate and you are bound to have a homely experience

Every wine here is perfect. The selection has been curated so wonderfully and with so much care, and their passion for sustainability is so exciting. Ben Haines Heathcote Shiraz was a personal favourite!

Great range of Aussie wines poured from the tap to keep them super fresh and minimise the environmental impact that comes from putting wine into standard glass bottles and transporting it across the country. Glou bar also operates as a bottle shop so you can fill up beautiful reusable glass bottles (up to 2L) from the taps and return them for a refill. The owners / bartenders really know a lot about the wines on offer and will happily find a wine that suits you. It’s a nice venue and I’d recommend trying to get a stool at the bar and having a chat about the wines on offer.

Great selection of local independent wines that you can takeaway or try in. Amazing Japanese food that you can have delivered and pairs perfectly.
