Glicks Malvern reviews
30 The Fisherman's Bagel (battered fish, coleslaw and eggplant dip) made a light and tasty lunch.
Glicks has a wide selection of savoury options and bagels to enjoy dine-in or takeaway.
Cosy and with great service. They recognize return customers. The cinnamon doughnuts are delicious heated up. Unfortunately their coffee is watery. Relaxed place.
Glicks Malvern is my favourite cafe. Wonderful fresh food, great bread, bagels, cakes and pastries etc.lovely salads, yummy latkes. Friendly obliging staff and not expensive. Love the place.
The bagels and especially the challah are absolutely world class and have to be tasted to be believed. Even better when warm.
I use to enjoy coffee & a cheese blinis regularly, was my go to, however after this week not so. The pancake surrounding the blinis was too thick & the filling not sweet enough. Seems like a change of chefs.not happy!
Great that there’s a Vegan challah, but definitely lacks other vegan options. Very friendly and pleasant interactions:)
I popped in this morning to get a few bagels for my parents and wow, the woman serving was clearly either having a very bad day, or grumpy is her usual stance. Couldn't muster the energy to even say good morning and seemed positively annoyed to see a customer, perhaps because her conversation with her co-worker was interrupted. In any case, will purchase bagels elsewhere in future, as really, who needs such rudeness?
Great place. Love Glicks.
If a bagel and pizza can coexist as one, imagine what else is possible.
Imagine one day you woke up and said 'I feel like pizza, that's weird for brunch, and I love bagels, how do I resolve this? '
Well someone at Glicks read your mind and said 'Hey chill out, we might be in the middle of a global pandemic, there is tragedy everywhere - but we have the technology, the know how, the amazingly awesome super bagel making skills to make a pizza bagel! '
So good - especially if you put salmon and cream cheese on it.
Anyway I know they also have lots of other nice breads but that's my favourite.
Bizarre that people rate the bagels so highly. They’re tasty and they have a good selection but they don’t have any of the hallmarks of a classic bagel. These are way too bready and the colouring is very light. These are much closer to bread rolls than bagels.
Staff here are the best. Such lovely ladies. Great bagels and good coffee. I come nearly every day.
I popped in for a coffee and cinnamon doughnut. Both were delicious
The staff were friendly, but the seats could do with a clean
I ordered a soy mocha this morning. The woman with braces and glasses mixed up for a late. So I said, sorry it was a mocha. She got all agitated and said it's and extra 50 cents on top of the 4 dollars I paid already. To see, she had sprinkled choco powder on top of the regular late (which she made by mistake) and charged me extra too. It was no mocha! I served as a barista for over 6 years and I know what a mocha is. It's very unpleasant to see people like that early in the morning.
If you're here for the bagels you can't go wrong, plenty of options to pick from and all delicious
I can't recommend their challah and bagels enough to anyone. Buy the bread that you can use for your dinner and it pairs well even with curries.
One of the best bakeries in Melbourne. This shop sells the best baked cheesecake. I have also found the staff to be friendly and helpful.
Staff quite unfriendly. Bagels very average. I had such high hopes, but unfortunately was disappointed.
Good food, hot drinks and decent prices. I just don't think the staff are glad to see customers, given the tone and expressions when I (or others they don't know personally) are asked what we want to order. Still, I will go back because the cakes are light and the pastries delicious.
Bagels may be good, yet the customer service is appalling! Been here this arvo, the cashier and one of the waitresses seem to not care that u walked in and don’t offer to take an order or don’t tell you that there’s no menu! Just ignore you and even tried to put jam on my salmon bagel instead of dressing! No matter how good the bagels are customer service goes a long way! Get your attitude right towards customers, I will not recommend the Malvern Glick’s to anyone, not even the frequent flyers from Cabrini hospital!
Everything "Glicks at Glicks" catering for the hebrew jewish community & for all who desire to follow torah (biblical based) eating habits.
For those who dont, dont be shy as there bagels will satisfy your belly 6 days aweek.
This bakery has a great selection of bread, but the savoury snacks are a disappointment. While the salmon patties and potato latke was fine, the crumbed fish was unpalatably dry and, to the nose, powerfully odorous. I’ve been there before to discover that the food was fine, the place clean and seems to be popular, but today’s experience, unfortunately, was a disappointment.
