Jennifer Sanchez sexually abused me and bullies are everywhere, this school should be shut down. Please do not send your children here.

I've just read the review left by _Zo0zOo_ on 12th May 2019. I consider this review to be defamatory because it refers to my teaching time at Glen Eira College and that a student had a breakdown because they were going to be taught by me. I only taught yr 10 maths there from 2015-2016. I left the school at the end of 2018, at least 6 months before this was posted.
I think _Zo0zOo_ should ensure that their facts are correct before they publish heresay from another person.
Certainly if I published incorrect information about a student I would be liable to disciplinary action or even losing my job.
Thank you to "Kahoot" the mum who home schools her children, because her account of using Kahoots to informally assess student understanding was part of my teaching program when I taught at GEC - so that review has some correalation with the truth.

I left this school after year 8, I'm now 20 years old and was wondering if this school have changed, sadly not. Till this day, I still remember what Ms Maniatis did to me that led me to cry in front of her, that is not normal, I was only a kid who wasn't that confident in English and had anxiety issues, I was hoping she would understand that but all she said was "we all going through the same thing".
I apologise that I always tried to skip your class but obviously that should tell you how your students views you. The only good thing came out of her class is the books we've read in class, I’m still re-reading them till this day.

When they got 1 million dollars for a Reno, they only renovated the sports area, which is nice, but they could’ve upgraded the school area a bit, for example, all the rooms are cold because they have no insulation

I heard that the school is biased, the well-being team doesn’t care about their students wellbeing fairly. Don’t send your child here if you care about their wellbeing and being treated fairly!

My son received an excellent education, and then we sent him to GEC. He joined in year 8, and I'm proud to say that after five long years of hard work, he's still in year 8.

Hey Guys, I'm here to inform you about the elusive slender men, make sure if your late you give them all your notes if not they may or may not slither through the cracks in your door and come for your 'late not explained' and notes from parents.

The school is no good.
Some of the teachers are good but some are known for being trouble I can name them Ms Maniatis, Ms Harper, Ms Mcivor, Assistant principal Aaron Petersen likes to make trouble for a lot of students in this school and the principal Sheereen Kindler is never at the school and that makes it seem does the principal care about her job or is she just at the school for her
pay.

The principal is making the school a really bad environment for the students that care for there learning and I am sure the Department of Education need's to know every problem from students and parents at this school.

This school clearly needs a group of new teachers a principal and one new assistant principal.

I would not like to tarnish this schools reputation since it’s already been disrespected by some of its students. I feel like teachers have been there long enough to lose there’s minds since what I’ve seen from the students is nothing but immature and rudeness, agreeably not all teachers are to blame but I want to see this school do more for its community and service to the children. In education it may not be easy to lose your cool with a few students since they are just becoming adolescents, students should be told how to behave since it’s also a tough job for the parents. I hope to see more improvements and proper social behaviour from this schools teachers and students.

The students in this school are very good role models. The teachers respect me and listen to my complaints. Nobody does drugs. I've been here a hole week and i got to know the school the way it really is.

This school used to be called Caulfield Secondary College back in the 80's when I went there. I hope I can revisit this school one day.

One day a kid got bullied, and was told by the bully to put a banana down his throat, and the teacher started to laugh and did nothing about it (R. I. P GEC)

I am student of GEC and i have suffered here for FIVE years.the vast majority of the teachers at the school don't teach what they are required to as per victorian curriculum and the wellbieng department, if you could call it that, dosen't support people who admit to depression or mental health problems. I have quite a few friends who have mental breakdowns or leave because they can't cope with the level of verbal/psychological abuse that they recive from certain teachers.heck even just 2 weeks ago a friend broke down in tears because Ms Meniatis (commonly known as the most horrible, scary and emotionaly inconsiderate teacher at the school) was screaming at her for going to the wellbieng room in one of her classes (students are allowed to go to the wellbeing room at any time mind you). Then theres the excess of drugs alchohol and sexual harassment that occurs on and close to school grounds. From year seven - nine I was targeted and bullied by a group of students and if that wasn't bad enough, every time i went to the teachers, even the vice principals office seeking help, they shrugged of the bullying as boys being boys and such.by term 2 year 9 i had reported the guys TWELVE TIMES and then finaly the teachers responded after my mother stepped in and i started counselling.they got a single detention.now a review of the facilities here. None of the blinds work, the internet is choppy at best (restricting the amount of work students are able to do and vastly increasing homework that we get detentions for not doing even though its the schools fault.), the aircon DOES NOT WORK IN ANY EXCEPT TWO OF THE ROOMS IN THE SCHOOL, the "$10000000" upgrade and renovation to the school went to a new gym and a 'high tech' locking system that u can get through with a magnet.about 1 year ago I was looking over the renovation plans with a teacher and they were very cheaply made/renovated.so where's the othe 6 million dollars.

Also my apologies for the sub par grammar, blame GEC for not teaching me any decent english.sincerly Wolfish_intriguE
