I've been twice. It's not cheap, only fractionally cheaper than supermarkets, altho' this could vary. Eg Peaches $3.00 kg, s/markets $3-50c. Cake stalls very very over-priced. Apples on one stall, in the tubs, 2nds or 3rd grade and $2-90c. Kg, too dear. Market needs more formal organising, it has far more potential than exists and I bet Yarra Council is over-charging for stalls, hence need to keep prices up. Still worth visiting, support stall-holders and give them your money a day not our lousy supermarkets. Thank you, Gerry

A great locals farmers market. A good mix of produce - veggies, eggs, honey, pastries, flowers and coffee!

More good food outlets being added

Lovely local market with really cheap produce and delicious food! Worth a mooch through the stalls - some only accept cash!

A true definition of what a local market is in Melbourne. Cash rules here, though a few do EFTPOS. You have cheap local organic veggies and fruits, pastries and donuts on offer but the stall to look out for is the one at the end with The French Lettuce. Also reminder to bring some bags to carry your haul home.

Today was our first time trying this market and we were amazed at how awesome it is. I believe we will be coming here a lot. Everything is so fresh and much cheaper than the supermarkets.

They have everything you need, eggs, honey, fruits, vegetables, breads, desert, and food you can buy and eat. The sausage roll and sausage sizzle were the best

Highly recommended to support those small businesses and to stay away from the disgusting supermarkets they have in this country

A small but wonderful gem. Really great selection of fresh fruit and veg. Some beautiful bakery items and pop up food carts ; even great coffee, fresh flowers. All very inexpensive.

Love this market. Try to go every Saturday just because I love the value, the atmosphere, the fresh produce, and the dogs!

The best fruit and vegetable markets in Melbourne. Plenty of street parking.

Been coming here for years.

The prices are great, always really cheap and reasonably good quality.

I always walk away with a trolley full of fruit and veg.

Amazing place and friendly service.

It's conveniently close to home, and I like supporting local businesses. But it can be a little hit and miss with some of the products. Like a stale, overpriced Almond Croissant, or vegetables where the quality isn't the best, but you purchased it to support the underdog, then you get average service in return. Or vendors who don't offer digital payment options and suggest that you get cash from an ATM. But I like the vibe and have been going here on and off over the years as it's great to have an open air street market in the inner burbs.

Disappointing since this market used to be cheaper and better in the old days. Now it’s become more yuppy and overpriced. The fruit and vegetables aren’t even that much cheaper considering the majority of stalls are cash only. Not worth the hype and drive unless you are across the road.

This is a fantastic fruit and vegetable Street Market in Richmond that's open Saturday mornings between 7am and 1pm. What's on offer is a multitude of fresh green grocery stalls, some artisan bread stalls, a couple of in season fresh flower stalls, fresh farm eggs & honey stall, and an ever expanding organic food stall. It's cheap and the people behind each stall are always helpful. Parking has never been a problem.

I have been going to this market for 3 years now and I would say this is a great place to buy your fruits and veggies on cheap.
It is a Saturday market only and finishes at 1 pm. If you need a steal then visit around 12 pm to get great deals.
The fruits and veggies are fresh and the prices are great too. The community is amazing and it is a great place to spend your Saturday mornings.
You will get seafood, fresh honey, kombucha, bread, flowers, organic products, eggs and killer sausage rolls too.
The products are sold by local farmers who source the produce from their farms so the quality is amazing.
If you are a Richmond local then this is a place to visit and contribute to the community.
There is a lovely dog park and a great cafe right across Gleadell Street if you want a coffee or a quick bite.

Amazing market, authentic vibe. Very good prices. Make sure to bring cash as many of the sellers particularly for fruit & veg are cash only.

Culturally very important part of Richmond and it's surroundings. Lots of variety of stores with varied quality of products etc. Wheel chair access, pet friendly etc. Every Saturday, 7am to 1pm.
There is coffee, breads, pastries, jams, flowers to fish to chesses to much more. For good quality stuff visit early, for cheap and bargains visit later. Overall a great place to feel the village vibes of Richmond

Great little market to grab fresh fruit, veg, flowers, baked goods and other produce. It is best to go in early and dog friendly too (take the pup for a run and play next door at Citizen Park!)

Love it that there’s a good organic retailer there who has a great variety of produce and competitive prices. I also go to the market for the community who often bring such a variety of dogs

Variety of prices and quality, surprising for this relatively small market. Quite busy, though.
