Without a doubt the most disgusting meal of fish and chips. It truly was horrible, never again

Worst fish I have ever had tasted like flour as well as potatoes cakes batter not mixed properly took food back twice now would not replace or give refund watch out for manager very rude
Will spend money on more edible food from now on.

A four out of five rating from me, as four out of five orders are absolutely spot on. The only reason for dropping a star, is that, on average, one in every five orders, the quality of the food isn't quite 100% (i.e. It's close, but sometimes the batter isn't as good as the other four times). They're still the best fish and chips in Drouin though.

Edit on 27/02/2022: So, we got fish and chips on Friday night and only received one of the four extra potato cakes that we ordered. Luckily, the food that we did receive was absolutely fantastic, but it would have been nice to have received everything that we had paid for.

Edit on 11/04/2023: So, we got fish and chips on Good Friday late last week and they were absolutely fantastic. These guys make the fins and feathers store that's also in Drouin, look very sad in comparison. Thanks to all the crew at Gippy fish and chips, you made Good Friday this year, that little bit extra special for us!

Great fish and chips, will cook Gluten free fish however it could have contamination from gluten flour because other things are cooked on grill plate. They do their best to keep it as clean as possible. Good range of fast food. Happy to take order over phone. Great staff there always polite.

First time eating from this place. To be honest absolute trash and that's putting it nicely. The fish was overdone, chips were so overcooked they crumbled the insides like powder, calamari rings aren't even calamari at all some wierd bread filled ring with no actual calamari inside them, prawn cutlets were burnt and dry, and when I asked for tartar sauce got store bought masterfoods tatar sauce packets! Won't be revisiting unfortunately or recommend to anyone asking for fish and chips absolute huge disappointment. I hate writing bad reviews but this was appalling.

Gippy Fish & Chips have excelled always since its inception in Drouin. The prices are excellent and excels over the other F & C shop in Drouin by a long shot

Below average, I only ate half of what I bought because I was hungry the rest went in the bin, below average, if you like quality fish and chips I'd say go elsewhere

So disgusting, overcooked and oily. I have never seen so much oil on food waste of money.

First encounter was good. Tried the meal for 4. Fish was more fish than batter (unlike some F&C joints) and was yummy. Potato cake and dim sim were fresh. Group agreed that meal pack could use slightly more chips.

Friendly staff, practises covid safe procedures. Has clear shields at the register to protect customers and staff

Never againI placed my order and she said to be about 10 minutes and when I arrive they given my order to someone else x Every time I go there to have something they always stuff everything up so I do not recommend it

Every thing was overcooked and dry. Kids nuggets inedible. Hamburger meat patty extremely dry. Waste of money.

Have been buying our fish and chips here for 6 years and have been happy until recently. Now the burgers are soggy and tasteless, the fish and chips are oily, soggy and frankly inedible. Extremely disappointing. I think we will give them a miss from now on.

Great service, great food and excellent value for money. The grilled Blue Grenadier (no batter) I had last night was the best take away fish I have ever had. It was also a generous serve which I really appreciated. At most shops these days, the flour coating is thicker than the fish We now have a new go to Fish and Chip shop - its well worth the drive from Warragul. Thanks very much to the staff and keep up the good work:)

Really good prices and really good quality of fish and chips. Have enjoyed some really great fish and chips here many times and always end up coming back. Definitely a recommendation from me.

Fish good, chips good, potato cakes had enough oil in them to do a oil change in my V8 cruiser. Hopefully better next time.

Something has changed recently, serving sizes are less than average and do not reflect the prices anymore, very disappointed.

When I visited Gippy, the service was immediate. It was around 11: 30am. The food came out well-cooked and delicious, and salted just right.

The unusual feature of this store is the large cooking area the staff have - about twice as large as a regular fish n chip shop.
