Gill's Nursery

A literal hidden gem! This is one of the neatest, well laid out nurseries I’ve been to. Lots of street parking and much bigger than it looks from the outside. This place is screaming for a little cafe; then it would be the perfect hidden breakfast spot under the trees. Until then, grab a coffee from Full Turn just down Bay Road and enjoy a stroll through the nursery. The prices of plants are very reasonable too.

Young energetic upbeat guy gave me heaps of advice and mum and I both went home happy with lots of new plant babies and ideas.

Had a fantastic shopping experience at Gill's Nursery. I was looking for a few outdoor plants and pots. The lovely Jenny took all the time in the world to show me around and suggest different plants, and trees and pots. It was helpful I had a few photos of our house, so she could visualise where they'd go. I picked about 8 or 9 plants, and pots. And they will do the delivery in a couple of days, including potting. Loved it, will be back for indoor ones!

Kelly, Kas and Annalise were fantastic and were so helpful. The selection of plants is awesome and the prices are very competative. Got lots of good advice on how to plant and what to do and not do, so really the best! Also they have a good stock which is uncommon.

This place was just glorious - a hidden oasis! Greyson helped us with choosing plants to landscape our new garden and we were both so impressed with his vast knowledge and customer service skills. He really went out of his way to help us. Thank you Greyson!

I love Gill’s! They are like Bayside’s own little botanical garden full of amazing plants. Their outdoor nursery setup is so tranquil to stroll through. The team is always eager to help and customer service is amazing. They are very knowledgeable about different plants and the prices are great! They are one local business I’d definitely support over and over again.

No self watering pots, limited pots around the 12cm size, no plastic pots for repotting indoor plants as they grow, limited gardening tools and equipment. No pebbles or decorative items for either indoor or outdoor, no netting or disease/pest prevention. Very rarified, so unlikely to visit again.

The customer service and expert advice (in particular from Greyson) was unbelievable! In a world where high quality customer service is rare, the customer experience today was outstanding. Thank you.

This nursery became my favourite one I am happy to travel 40minutes if I need to ask expert's onions and buying some plants. This nurery is very friendly and keen to assist with my needs.

Super helpful and friendly. We walked in not knowing how to choose plants for our spaces and the team made it easy. Highly recommended especially if you live in Bayside and wish to support local businesses.

Went in earlier to see if they had plants that werent available at Bunnings.

A specific type of plant in the size I wanted was sold out, but they spoke with the manager and allowed me to have one from out the back.

Couldnt be better customer service and will be doing all my outdoor shopping here from now on.

Very helpful they were. Helped to load my car and wouldn't take a tip. I always like to pay the workers a little extra when they go over what they should but they were happy to shake my hand and leave it at that. Quite something.

Went in on a quiet day and the staff were very friendly. Offered me lots of helpful advice on what kind of plants to get. Thank you.

Compact well maintained little garden centre, You'd never know it was there from the outside! Lovely selection of indoor & outdoor plants

If you want a showy nursery with extremely poor service, this is the place to go to. Couldn't find anyone for ages and when I did they were rude and unhelpful. "You have a landscaping service? " - "Yes" - "Can I talk to someone about that? - "No, She's at lunch" - PAUSE - "Should I wait or come back? " - "Well she should be back as she went to lunch before me" - PAUSE - "Can I ask she call me when she's back and I will come back? " - "If you like". "Ok.bye and I look forward top Kylie calling me back". You guessed it, never received a call. They must be so comfortable with their income/revenue that they don't care about service but I do and won't come back.
