GIC E-sports iCafe

Great computers; if they work. Was playing ranked during my promos, and the mouse stops working mid game. I get up to go to the counter, and find a huge line with two people behind the counter. One slowly dealing with the other customers, so I go to the other who is sitting there staring at his iPad screen. I ask him for some help, and he simply looks at me and says, ‘Change computers, ’ and proceeds to look back at his iPad. Three other computers later, all of which wouldn’t even start, I finally get back on to having lost my promos. On top of that, the place is dirty, I’m scooping armfuls of rubbish off computers, and I’m stepping in food. Also prices are ridiculous, at a flat $5 per hour; so $50 for 10 hours. Other place will charge $50 for 20 to 30 hours.

The worst internet cafe I have ever seen, I paid 1hours for gaming, because of computers problem I juz only played 20min, staff attitude are bad

So i was a first timer at this cafe got excited to use the 2080 waited at the cafe from 8 till 9.45 to get a reply so i could use the rtx 2080 but no use u need to have a membership of some sort why can't u get the membership excess athe the place or make it online had texted and called a few times to different people but no use. The staff was really kind the were trying to help me but seriously for the management could u please make ur memberships online or make a website so u don't have to wait all this long just to get a membership

Games weren’t updated, waited over 30 minutes for technical team to respond and was refused a refund when nothing was solved - waste of money

The person at the desk was probably the rudest person ive ever met and i work in customer service, so rude and when i asked for help she made me feel silly.most of the computers wernt working, the chairs were all damaged some without arm rests.do not recommend

Scam. Had an account here, topped up 100 bucks, I log off, and the system must have screwed up and didn't log off and recorded 20 hours of play time. Asked the bloke at the counter to fix it and all he could offer was 10 dollar top up, basically lost 100 bucks to this scam.

Most games are not installed. Battlefield was installed but took 40 minutes to repair. Also the monitor was very dirty. At least the staff are friendly.

Keyboards and mouse were dirty and oily, whole station was dirty. Wasn't cleaned after the last person, rubbish was still laying around just very unhygienic

Really good environment to chill at with friends while on a trip to Melbourne - fast Internet and computers too - would recommend to come!

Place runs 24/7 which is super beneficial.

PC runs an i7 8700 and a 1070ti which is fairly decent. Razer Huntsman and Basilisk peripherals are a nice bonus.

Some games aren't up to date on their server so you might spend some time for it to download, before getting to play.

They charge $5/hr for members, and an overnight price of $20 capped, between the hours of 12am to 9am, (basically up to 5 hours free if playing for the whole night.)

Venue can get loud, from other patrons.

Would give this place 0 stars if i could. Cheap pc cafe but was so dirty with rubbish everywhere. Keyboard and mouse were dirty and oily. Would not come back.

Worst experience! Staff were rude and interrupted a 3 hour gaming session multiple times and then had to stop to reboot system. Paid ahead to play for set time but kicked out friends early without notice when paying due to "members only night" and half an hour still left to play despite the venue & pcs being half empty. Machines & equipment was super dirty too! There are much better places to go!
**Edit: no one was notified before paying at the desk for the agreed time, you dont get to demand a further $25 to stay for the time already paid! Even if it's members only -you should have honoured your mistake especially as half of the venue was empty**

The computers took so long time to turn on, and another 15 mins to load into steam game. Very bad experience. I spent like more than 1 hour still couldnt play steam game.

Pretty decent prices and equipment. But change your air conditioners so they aren’t blowing on our faces and drying our eyes out all the time. Also cleaning the mice and keyboards more frequently would be nice as they’re pretty much always oily.

Very good experience quick service. Game experience was nice as the games ran very high quality with a high frame rate constantly. Many game choices. Although my friend lost a card under their desk they tried their best to help get it out but couldn’t.overall very friendly people and should check it out. It’s also nice and affordable.

Many a time have I gotten too enthusiastic with hanging out in the city and missed my last train home this place has always been open and my salvation! Basically getting to just play some games while I wait for my train home everyone kinda keeps to themselves as well

Visited here for luggage storage, was a bit unsure at first but it was totally fine, a useful option for downtown Melbourne.

One of the best internet cafes ive ever visited.unbeatable! It is pricier than most but the quality computers and hardware are worth the price

An upmarket e-sports cafe in central melbourne. Its clean and has an authentic gaming vibe. Computers are up to date and the chairs are sure to keep you comfortable for hours.

Ridiculously expensive equipment and low prices.

Im amazed they even make money.
