The ladies here were a fountain of knowledge and willing to share ideas. They were also willing to allow me to experiment with blends of spices and other condiments for meat dishes. Unfortunately, I think the scales by which product is measured for mass (weight) need calibrating as the scales here at Uni of Melbourne (which are calibrated) show different mass values.

Beautiful shop that will have all the spices you'll ever need. Great range of homewares as well some teas and chocolates too. Staff are always super lovely and helpful. I've always had a great experience here.

Back again to top up my cooking spice from Gewürzhaus. Love their special blend lavender salt, fish spice, chilli salt, chicken salt.turmeric latte spice. I would love to give this shop 6 stars.

This store smells divine. A great range of spices to choose from, as well as loose leaf tea. Lovely kitchen ware and pretty linen. A great place to purchase gifts.

Such a cute rustic feel about this place. Reminds me of stepping back in time to a rustic country spice store.

Spices are easily located and your able to view and smell them before buying. I love that you can measure spices into the cute little spice bags they provide. Packaging and outlay of the store is gorgeous.

If they don't have a specific spice on the floor, they have a huge variety behind the counter too. My favourite is the granola spice, aleppo pepper and salt bush.

Hope this store stays around for a long time!

Big fan of this place, tasty spice mixes that you can whip into a tasty meal with little effort. Big variety of spice styles including Indian, Thai, Mexican and south american as well as BBQ rubs and salt variants. Have been using their spices for several years and have got to the point now where I'm just happy to grab something and try it out. I've yet to be disappointed by anything I've tried.
They have a wide variety of cooking utensils and helpers as well and it's a great place to wander and smell everything around you.

Beautiful shop and really friendly folk. I honestly only scraped the surface of their offerings in my search for a bottle of grains of paradise. Everything that carries their label is well packaged and organised. I recommend visiting on your next hunt for spices, and culinary experiments.

Such a great shop with the best selection of spices and rubs I've found in Melbourne. Great service and knowledgeable staff. I've purchased the gluhwein kits, fenugreek seeds and several rubs. Highly recommended

The name of the shop means “The Spice House” in German.
I recon they just need some extra education about what they sell. Eg where the spices come from, what are they do to our bodies (healing properties etc), what spices are good to mix together for even cosmetic etc. Just one more step forward guys as it becomes all the rage.

Amazing variety or exotic spice blends, teas, salts, and kitchen doo-dads. Some spice blends are a miss BUT that just comes down to personal taste (ie dont like lavender = didnt like herbs provençal) keep experimenting and like me you'll find some favourites you'll be going back for again and again.

If you love cooking and love getting spice into you savoury or sweet dishes this great pills to go.one thin I love is small of fragrance in the air and it gives you a warm filling.

The most friendly and professional staff we have had the pleasure of meeting in Melbourne for a long time. Could spend hours in this boutique. Definitely coming back for more christmas spices!
