7This australian wet market here is definitely neater than the average wet market. This spice shop is a legend and a must stop and bring home to cook their famous Mama's Meatball Blend.
I visited the Queen Victoria Market Store before Me;bourne's lockdown. The best selection of herbs, spices and other goodies I have ever seen. You can buy in bulk or fill your own packets with the amounts you want. I took home a very small selection from what was on offer. I have been happily cooking with them ever since. They were fresh and come with a list of ingredients for the blended types and suggested uses. They have something for every type of cuisine. Good news I can order on line when I run out if I can't get back to Melbourne.
I wanted to let you and your customers know how disgusted I was Sunday morning around 9am when placing an order your sale assistant ask me " shouldn't you have a mask on? " My reply was I am drinking coffee? I have never been so angry. I have bought plenty of spices ect from your shop over the years and told the assistant to forget it, never ever going back, no lecture form a GEN Y! I WAS DRINKING COFFEE! DISGUSTED.
The most difficult spices to procure for cooking are the ones you need for middle Eastern cuisine. This store is one of the few places where I found the spices that were well priced and of great quality.
A lot of spices and salts. You can try them all! Very pleasant stuff. I recon they just need some extra education about what they sell. Eg where the spices come from, what are they do to our bodies (healing properties etc), what spices are good to mix together for even cosmetic etc. Just one more step forward guys as it becomes all the rage.
Pretty good, staff a little lacking in customer service, but are genuinely helpful. Got a Middle Eastern spice that have looked all over Melbourne for
