Gertrude Grocer Fitzroy reviews
18As a visitor from Canada, I found this grocery which was located close to my hotel. It had great fruit and veggies and the store was clean and tidy.
I couldn’t believe how fresh the fruit was compared to local supermarkets I highly recommend coming here for all your local shops!
I recently discover this grocer and I immediately fall in love with it. The staff is very friendly and the supermarket offers a wide range of products, with a particular focus on local and organic products.
This local grocery store exceeded my expectations with their exceptional produce and fresh artisanal bread. The selection was impressive, with a wide range of fresh fruits, vegetables, artisanal bread and niche products that left me spoilt for choice. The staff were also friendly and attentive, making my shopping experience even more enjoyable. Definitely my go-to grocer from now on!
I found this supermarket near my home and immediately realized it was right for me.
Quality, variety of products and the staff was really friendly in helping me. As a good Italian, I found pasta, oil, fruit and vegetables exactly as I ate them when I was in my country. In addition, I tried the new cuts of meat in the store and they were excellent, never tasted such good cuts of meat!
I'm always on a lookout for unique pasta and someone told me this is the place to go. They really do have the biggest range. From fresh, dry, vegan, they've got it all. Hate that I always spend up my entire pay check here because I can't resist the goods.
Unsure - would really like to like this place as it's around the corner but everything is overpriced. Went to get coffee beans today and was almost overcharged, then later realised the beans I purchased are 5 months old. Was charged $42 for a tiny plant last year too. Will give it a miss from now on.
A great coffee selection for filter drinkers. I generally buy at least one bag a month from here and I've had some really ripper coffees from them in the past.
The stock heaps of local roasters, Axil, Rumble, St Ali and Wide Open Road to name a few. The filters from Rumble and Axil are usually my go to.
The guys also let me buy filter papers just after they closed, absolute legends. Ten out of ten for service and selection. Worth a visit if you're keen on coffee.
CHECK THE EXPIRE DATE on anything you buy here. This insanely overpriced racket of a store will sell you out of date food.
Carry the jimoto range of products which is
So nice to see! A bit marked up
In price but maybe that’s standard for this area and a local grocer. Staff often were a bit unknowledgeable when asked about stocking certain products etc but nice enough
I have just visited Gertrude Grocer Fitzroy and what a fabulous shop. Huge range of everything you could want to cook/eat - fresh produce, bread, local produce and an absolutely massive range of international products. The shop is dripping with food stuffs and is visually beautiful and inspiring not to mention informative! Literally stunning!
You don't need artificial substances to 'blow your mind', just visit here.
Gertrude Grocer is one of many of a new wave of stores, going against the traditional giants in the supermarket world. There is an obvious focus on freshness, quality and sustainability, you’ll find a range of not only locally sourced meat and vegetables, but ingredients and assortments of all kinds.
Not as varied of a product range as other places, but you can see the products they have chosen to focus on get a millions times more care & attention because of it. The interior has a calming feel to it, and is a mix of old school and contemporary design at it best.
You’ll probably pay a premium if you choose to shop here, so unfortunately may not be within everyone’s budget, but the quality of everything matches the prices.
Lovely italian grocer with a wide range of quality imported products! Like the vibrant vibe this shop is bringing to the neighborhood every saturday with outdoor market and bbq!
Recently opened on Gertrude Street and it’s a welcomed addition to the area. It stocks beautiful products that are hard to get at other stores in the local area. The selection is just gorgeous and the staff a friendly too. Open until 7pm too which is great.
A wide selection of high quality products, fresh produce and local ingredients. Very friendly staff who greet you with a smile:)
Awesome choice of products, loved the fresh bread and pasta range.great customer service and friendly staff.good vibes all round
My new favourite place for food shopping! Every time I pop in there’s something new and delicious to buy/try. Great selection of imported and local foods and treats.
Love this new grocery! Its still new and I love their selection. They have fresh produce and breads too. Will be shopping here for my grocery needs to support a local business!
