Walked in with my brushcutter earlier and was explaining a problem with it to the old fellow there to which he flatly replied, "I'm not a mechanic". That was essentially the end of the strange encounter, there was no other explanation other than repeating himself. Rather odd considering he had a workshop there, it's clearly listed on the website repairs can be done (and to my specific make of brushcutter) and people in the reviews claim he has repaired various machines for them. Took it to a bloke in Morwell instead who was happy to have a look at it.

Edit: Never made any requests for diagnosis, just wanted someone to have a look at it.

Updated Review. Had been using these guys for many years and changes to their business in first half of 2020 significantly disappointed. We didn't get the bag of spare parts back like normal, the new belt fitted didn't work, it broke, and couldn't rebook repair for another three weeks (pre COVID). They've lost it, and as they've caused more damage to our equipment, it's not worth returning. It's ok to make a mistake, but three times, and it's goodbye.
2018 Review - a good old fashioned mower place that also sells chainsaws. Father and son operation. It's always fun coming here as dad gets grumpy if you've abused the product or not looked after it properly and the son reminds dad that if it wasn't for the customers looking after product properly they wouldn't be there. Just a great experience all round.

Really quick to solve our problem and so much more affordable than what we were expecting (quoted elsewhere)! Very happy customers

Did an ok job of fixing my mower. Has no customer service. Mower was fixed and didn't hear anything. I called them up and he said "yeah it's been done for a bit, we don't call our customers"

Took old rotary hoe, well serviced and very reasonable cost. Completed on time. Will happily take other equipment to this business again.

Popped over at around 8am on a Saturday, my car had got a flat tyre and I was looking for somebody that could help out. The person who answered the door was horribly unhelpful, despite having the tools I required to change my tyre was rude and dismissive and refused to even consider helping. Obviously a bitter and angry old man, I would avoid at all costs
