The cakes are great choices. I always thought of Genuine Cake Design when organising birthdays for my family and friends.

Genuine cakes is our now go to cake bakery. Speaking with Kim was an absolute pleasure, he is extremely knowledgeable about all cakes, flavours and sizes. He took the time to go through everything step with me about the cake. He made an amazing custom cake for my son's 6th birthday with vanilla sponge and fresh chocolate cream. Everybody absolutely love it!

It's not often that I write a reference, but we ordered a cake from Genuine Cake Design for our 50th Wedding Anniversary. Very pleased with the result. They were attentive, understood our requirements and supplied us with a lovely cake. Well done. Highly recommended.

Pricing fluctuates from one person to the next as i was quoted $70 for 23cm and then again quoted $55 from another colleague in the same phone call. Shady business practice and the explanation was its really depends what i want on the cake. Nice try

My family members have tried many cake shops from footscray to St Albans and all of the online Vietnamese ones and we all agree that there's no other place as outstanding as this one. Some of their designs are a bit borimh but their taste is absolutely THE BEST. You can come up with your own style and ask them to customise though. We love durian and taro fillings. The best!

It was a pretty spectacular looking cake - design was very attractive and I loved the additional popcorn, macaron and Kinder Bueno toppings. The pink gradient effect and gold specks also made it very special - for this type of design, I would expect to pay a lot more than what he did!
The cake was as delicious as it looked, and all the flavours matched really well. The cream was very smooth, light and not too sweet or decadent, which is my preference. It did not have the overly thick, buttery consistency that sometimes happens with cakes. The sponge was also light and airy but still felt substantial - which is good as otherwise I would eat bigger slices than I should! It also felt like the right amount of sweetness. The filling was cream and fruit which was also tasty.
Definitely would recommend and would come back - keen to try other flavours and designs now! Thanks for a really lovely cake!

Our family's go to for birthday cakes. We have ordered from here the last few years and always order half durian and half fruit cake. Cakes are always amazing and delicious!

We bought a cake here for the first time for a party this weekend and wow!
It was so pretty, and the taste was just gorgeous. It was cake perfection.
It was light and creamy and delicious, our guests absolutely loved it.
The staff here were so lovely and helpful when we walked in with no idea at all what we wanted. They very patiently walked us through their range of options.
I will be back for all of our next parties. I now have an entire flavor range to work through.

I'm a great fan of coffee flavoured cakes, this is one of the best I have experienced, not too strong but subtle enough to allow you to taste the cake as well as the cream. I will be back. Keep up the good work guys.

My family and I have been ordering our cakes here for years. The owner is nice and does an amazing job. Their durian and fruit cakes are sooooo good!

Love the cake but disappointed. Ask for choc cake with choc cream but giving vanilla cream instead and this is the 2nd time its happen.

Bought a cake for my husband's birthday last night. They messed up the flavours. Gave me durian instead of the coffee flavoured I ordered and it stank up the whole house. Guests couldn't eat it and when I rang to complain the next day, no apology, instead placed the blame on me for not bringing the cake back straight away. Hello! I ordered for a party at night. The business is closed and no way am I having that smell in my fridge overnight. That was 90 bucks wasted. If they mistook it a cake that was chocolate, fruit instead of the coffee I wanted, I wouldn't have cared but giving me that putrid smelling of a cake was not on. And their customer service is deplorable
