The whole experience is heartwarming and great for the soul. From the moment you drive down into the picturesque drive, the the smiling staff, sitting under luscious trees and let’s not forget to mention those platters!

A lot of local produce and craft drinks on offer.

Recommend the drive out

What a lovely experience. We booked our picnic hampers online the morning of our berry picking adventure. My little grand nieces and nephew absolutely loved picking the blackberries and pears. There were definitely some that didn’t make it into their containers going by the stains around their mouths! The hampers were delivered to us under the shade of the beautiful trees. The food was fresh and abundant with meats, cheeses, dips, bread, crackers and fruit. Absolutely delicious. The kids enjoyed an ice cream from the small but delicious selection. Do yourself a favour and immerse yourself in nature in this beautiful setting. A wonderful way to spend a Saturday afternoon. The new hosts are the loveliest couple and deserve the success this venue offers.

What a hidden gem.

We recently spent a lovely afternoon at Gentle Annie’s. What a stunning location, all that greenery and rolling hills. You can really see the pride the owners have in their surroundings, they welcomed us and were so friendly.

We ordered a cheese platter which was a beautifully presented, very generous portions and tasted divine!

The bar had a range of drink options to suit everyone; my kids particularly enjoyed the organic soft drinks as well as the ice cream.

We spent a lazy afternoon wandering the property, exploring the berry bushes and orchards, eating yummy cheeses and catching up with friends. There were games to keep the kids occupied, including a giant wooden Jenga set and noughts and crosses. We brought the footy for a little kick in case the kids got bored but didn’t need it, there was a lot to do at Gentle Annie’s.

As the afternoon heated up, we borrowed a picnic blanket to lay on under the trees. What a perfect way to enjoy a summer holiday afternoon, with some great tunes playing in the background.

Finding Gentle Annie’s was easy, there were easy to identify signs along our route.

We’ll be back again for sure.

Such a gorgeous and relaxing setting the new owners have created. You can feel the love and care they have poured into this space.

We thoroughly enjoyed lazing away the afternoon with a drink or two whilst enjoying one of the delicious grazing platters.

You can set up a giant Jenga or connect 4 game for the kids, and don’t forget to grab a yummy ice-cream to finish off the day!

A lovely spot to enjoy the Pennyroyal Valley and worth a visit for sure!

Lovely afternoon in the PennyRoyal Valley, eating some of the regions best produce and sampling from a fantastic range of beers. The new owners Laura and John were exceptionally welcoming and hospitable. Great place to while away the afternoon with friends, where the kids pick berries and play lawn games. We’ll be back.

We had a great day at Gentle Annies with our family. John and Laura are great hosts and create an awesome vibe. Lovely gardens, cool tunes and a spectacular platter to match… not even mentioning the endless local beer, cider and wine list which kicks into gear later in the afternoon (hubby drove!) Will be back!

Not my first time here but had a fantastic afternoon all the same. The new owners are absolutely lovely, the surroundings well kept, the staff were on point and the new picnic hampers are to die for! All in all a brilliant afternoon and we very much look forward to heading there again when we are down that way.

Revisiting this iconic location under new management / owners was a lesson in metamorphosing what was once great, is now simply brilliant. No longer about a bucket of berries, we’ve just been a part of an immersive experience in local flora, fauna, food and festivities. Superb local wine, beer, cheese, fruits; and yes, if you choose, a bucket of berries. The Otways have never tasted so good. We will be back

Beautiful hidden gem, fresh hampers, local craft beer and wine to enjoy whilst picnicking on the property with serene backdrop of fruit trees, berry bushes and forest trees.
You can also pick your own berries and fruit whilst as part of the experience.
Wonderful hosts too.
