For our engagement my partner had my Nan’s old gold ring white gold and platinum plated at G & J’s and they did an exquisite job and in only 2 weeks! I then had them resize it to quite a smaller size and it’s absolutely perfect now. The staff are incredibly friendly and show much care and devotion to their craft. Thank you all so much!

Had my engagement ring made at G&J. Had seen a ring years ago that I loved and we couldn't find anything in stores that could replace it. I was nervous at first to go custom without being able to try on and admire before purchase but as soon as I stepped through the door all my questions were answered and they took the time to make me feel like I was in good hands without pressuring me into anything! I felt so comfortable going ahead. The ring came out more than PERFECT and I am so so glad I had G&J to make my dream ring a reality! Thank you guys! I love it!

We went to Allen to design a 10th anniversary ring for my wife, who had ideas and tastes she wanted to discuss.
Allen took us through various designs and stones while listening to my wife’s questions and ideas. Once we had a stone and initial design chosen, a few weeks later Allen had created a 3D printed example ring and we again sat with Allen to discuss the design and final changes. We’ve just picked up the finished ring and my wife is in love with it.
We’re glad that we worked with Allen to create this ring, and can recommend Gems & Jewels to someone wanting both a special piece and the experience of working with a jeweller that works with you to bring it to life.

My fiancé Michael was searching for an engagement ring for me for about a year, dealing with snobby jewelers in Melbourne who were refusing to give him what he wanted and trying to force $14k+ diamond rings on him.
Eventually he gave up, asked me to marry him without a ring and we started looking together.
I live in Ballarat and was recommended Gems & Jewels. I was a little scared that they would be out of our price range but after speaking to Jacinta, she told me that they could custom make a ring for us in any price range!
Michael and I ended up finding an incredible loose stone online and Jacinta designed us a custom ring around it.
The final product is so exquisite, I can't believe that it's mine!
And all for a fraction of the price that Melbourne stores were trying to force on us.
The process with Gems & Jewels could not have been easier and Jacinta was so lovely and gave us excellent advice.

Alan did such an amazing job of hand making a bangle for my daughters 21st birthday. He worked all through the night on it to ensure it was ready for the special day. Could not recommend him more for hand made jewelry. The quality and detail was exactly what we envisioned.
