Gelato Messina Windsor

Lost a frequent customer. With the amount of dog friendly establishments (including cafes and food joints) down Chapel St Messina should really reconsider their new found policy of not letting dogs in their stores. Really don’t appreciate a staff member taking the lead off me and taking my dog out of the store! Mind you I’d been in there long enough to order! The amount of times I’ve seen dogs in this store would nearly equal every time I’ve been in there.the female staff member made me feel incredibly uncomfortable and embarrassed when I’ve only experienced excellent staff service here on all other occasions (including taking my dog inside)

Really friendly staff and a great selection. I would just go hang here on my own and eat a scoop! They are happy to let you try whatever you want too so you get the right choice:)

Absolutely appalling behaviour from a business. I will never step foot in a gelato messina store again. I was a long time fan and loyal customer. I have almost 2000 loyalty points with them and have even attended one of their Messina creative events. However, what they did over Easter this year shocked me. They were willing to lose an entire customer base over an ice cream flavour. They decided to name and describe a gelato flavour which mocked and blasphemed Jesus. On Good Friday. Are they willing to mock and blaspheme other religions during their festive seasons too? They are clearly sending a message that they are not welcoming or inclusive of customers of a religions faith. So I will respect that, and take my business to the other amazing gelaterias in Melbourne instead.

No doubt the best gelato!
The passion fruit is my favourite (which might be too sour to other’s taste!) super fresh and the perfect balance of sour sweet.
But the quality of cake is not as good as the gelato!
We have ordered the boysenberry cheesecake for birthday however it is way too sweet and we have followed the instructions of keeping it in freezer then put in chill for 15-30 minutes before eating, the texture is quite hard, and the biscuits layer is quite salty. Probably will not order cake again from it considering it is also pricy ($72)

Love this gelato! Just as good as the other Messina stores in Melbourne. The staff are super friendly, polite and conversational which helps make you feel welcome and comfortable. The portions are super generous (arguably more generous than other stores) and the gelato is just as good. I tried the pistachio sorbet special here (Taking the Pistachio) and it was absolutely heavenly, probably the best pistachio sorbet/gelato I have ever had. I recommend trying the following flavours: pistachio praline, white chocolate hazelnut, tiramisu, super dulce de leche and milk chocolate with peanut fudge or any of their amazing specials!

Gelato at its best with such a wide variety of options. No wonder I had to wait in line even at 9: 30 pm. You won't regret any option but you can always taste test. And the service is incredible

Friendly female staff working on 5 Dec late morn recommended the Gianduia thickshake and it was really good.

For the money they charge for their ice cream, you think they'll be able to afford better furniture. The couches are so old and lumpy.

Top of the line ice cream! Just don't get vanilla ice cream like my friend did, what a waste! White chocolate hazelnut is recommended

I’ve had giant’s milk a month ago which was a special menu. Cannot get it out of my mind until now. I wish they would do that flavour again. Best one I’ve ever had.

Amazing flavours with both unique and traditional options. The first Pistachio gelato that actually tasted like Pistachios and was flavourful - it is amazing and now my go to.

Their Crack pie ice cream was bomb and I ended up making some Crack pie because I couldn't get over how good it was - it was a limited time flavour.

I've tried 4 different flavours now, the Gayinetta Hot Tub as well as 3 of the Greatest Hits and they are hands down the best ice cream I've ever tasted. Can't wait to try more. Absolutely delicious!

Love the fig and marsala, but best of all the generosity of spirit when my daughter (lemon and chocolate) dropped hers just around the corner. I picked it up (10 second rule) but Chapel St.near a pub.we went back to get another and they gave us a freebie.thank you so much, fan for life xx

Service was quick which is a positive but the staff member looked like she didn't want to be at work. The icecream was very delicious;

One of the best ice cream stores / chains around. A great selection of well-priced quality ice creams.

Lots of different flavours to choose from. It does get busy but it doesn't take long to walk out with an ice cream

Tasty ice cream but…
How greedy it is to charge you 50 cents per plastic spoon? !? !
I order their biggest pack with 5 flavours and asked for some plastic spoons but been told I need to pay 50 cent per spoon…
How come a person that buy one flavoured ice cream get a plastic spoon for free and a person that buy their biggest pack won’t get any? !

Next time I’ll go to piddapipo, great ice cream and they give you free spoons!

4 stars because lately their icecreams haven't felt the same as they did years ago and the creaminess has declined. Otherwise all good! Big variety of flavours and tempting combinations. Nice place for an ice-cream date

Delicious ice cream! I've tried around 10 flavors so far and one is better than the last. They're all so good.
