Gelato Messina Richmond reviews
56 Let me tell you…
When one wants to spoil someone nothing better than good quality ice cream, I took my beautiful grandsons and they just loved it, the staff were very friendly and patient with these two very active boys, we have decided to return during the week for some more soft and delicious gelato! Thank you and see you soon!
Delicious ice cream and great service! Such a wide variety of flavours, you can ask to taste. I wish they would introduce asian flavours like pandan and ube: ,)
It is NOT ok to post holiday hours on your website without also warning people that you charge 15% extra on public holidays. 15% is exhorbitant to start with, but to have no warning until people have travelled to your shop is seriously annoying. Do not expect to see me again on a public holiday. I will go elsewhere.
Messina is already so well known for some of the best ice cream on the planet and the Richmond site doesn't mess with a winning formula. Great location, some seating inside, staff are friendly and helpful. You can have some small taste tests to help you choose from one of the 40 flavours. The regular special flavours are changed often and worth always checking in for a naughty treat
The quality at Messina Richmond is not as good as Messina Windsor. I bought the same flavours in a tub from both stores on the same day and the tub at Windsor has more chunks and tastes better quality
Great flavours of both ice creams, gelatis and sorbet.
Reasonably priced but serves are not overly generous.
Fabulous. The selection is huge and the service is great. Probably the best pistachio gelato I've tasted. Pistachio praline. The lemon has the perfect tang to balance the two. Great prices. I'll be back for sure.
This place is always packed whenever I go past. Nice range of flavours, and great ideas for specials of the week. “The Dude” - hilarious. Big hit among friends too.
Would love some more dairy-free options that aren’t sorbet though!
This is just ok. Overhyped, too busy, and scoop sizes seem to be shrinking. Would recommend Piccolina across the road, much better in terms of taste, quality and service.
The pinnacle of inner city elitist entitlement is servers getting paid a minimum of $30 an hour expecting tips for taking your order. Only in Melbourne can you expect to be hit for a tip for the most basic of hospitality services. Stop being so entitled.
The ice cream here is incredible, and I never tried their other products like cakes etc. Various amazing flavors and you can rarely go wrong with the specials (now ~$5.5 a scoop).
Very good selection of ice-cream flavours.their bounty flavour is by far the best ice cream I ever tasted.
Ohhhhhhhhhh my gosh the caramel ice-cream is to die for to all my ice-cream lovers that's got a sweet tooth this is the place to be
Responsive but no rush staff, happy to allow tests before we got our cones to eat in, and our takeaway tub. Changing menu with some fabulous special flavours. However, the app payment is a bit of a pain in the butt.
The most delicious Gelato I’ve ever had and I’m fussy with ice cream! The salted caramel with white choc chips was amazing
Great place for great ice cream. I’m a regular customer and have spent over $200 at this place alone over the past year.
I recommend macadamia crunch and white choc hazelnut if you’re into nut based ice creams.
There’s always something new to try as they have 5 specials rotating on a weekly basis. I’d say the specials keep you coming back.
There’s many options to pay which allow you to get discounts/rewards for your purchases. I think 2 of the good options are liven and the Messina app itself.
I’ve included a pic of the choc chip milkshake, but the milkshakes are quite pricy ($10).
A relaxed and spacious store, staff are friendly and the new ice cream counter feels a lot more hygienic and energy efficient. Glad that cards are accepted now.
Someone told me Messina is arguably one of the best and I should give it at least one try. Glad I listened because I will be going back soon. PS: They let you taste before deciding "the one"
Who doesn’t love Messina! I always go to this store with my kids. The flavours are always delicious
