Gelato Messina Malvern reviews
16Messina Is No1 for gelato no.doubt about my favourite.but. Iv noticed everytime i go now the serving sizes are getting smaller and smalle: (making it very exspensive.
There is truly no greater place on earth. This weeks specials were absolute utter perfection. I’ve honestly never been so happy with my three scoops of deliciousness. I kind of wanted five scoops but restrained myself from ordering a litre tub. Upon reflection I regret that decision
What a pleasure it was to be served today! We were met by the beautiful Katie, who served us with a big smile and a great accent! She was so kind and was very patient with us when we were making our decisions. Thank you so much for making our evening so delightful!
Amazing selection of ice creams and gelatos. Could use a few more seats. I still loved it.
Messina needs to put on extra staff two staff and thirty deep still waiting to be be served.
I had the pistachio in every branches all over Aust and this one was the worst I’ve ever had! Tried 2 times and both was disappointing
Surprised to see Gelato Messina opened up in Malvern.we read some reviews and came to try out.the gelato was as good as other Messina stores but yes this one the portion size is rather small compared with the Windsor store.otherwise a very good place.the smaller portion size is quite disappointing though.please match Windsor's portion size.
Very pretty store but the music was electronic and loud. The ice cream itself was yum but such a weird and disordered serving system/line. No way to easily see all the flavours without feeling stressed your spot in the line would be taken.
The ordering system is terrible. Staff don’t know who’s next in line and when you get to the front of the line there’s no room to move and see all the flavours.
Would suggest a more structured ordering method which allows you to see the flavours on offer whilst lining up so that people can decide what they want prior to being served.
Also there were lots of families but the store music was something you’d expect in a chapel street club, was a bit jarring.
Very rude staff on two occasions now and counting… Eyerolling and rudely huffing and puffing is deemed acceptable service. Quite unlike the Windsor store which is always friendly. Such a pity as we live closer to Malvern and always had to drive to get Messina and now it’s on our doorstep we don’t feel inclined to go in as a result of staff. There should be a ticket system as it is chaos and very slow to order yet some people waltz in and get served first. Also people buying tubs of ice cream should have a different system as it takes too long for those wanting just a cone or a scoop. Ice cream is not of the standard in the Windsor store. I thought I had ordered the wrong chocolate chip as there was practically no chocolate in it. We will return to Yochi as their staff are always friendly and their system works.
Nice ice creams/ Gelato. Some flavours are good. However compared to other stores the practices like tip plate is a bit odd. Serving size could use a generous hand. Some flavours are not quite consistent with other stores in Melbourne.
Staff were wonderful and warm, the place is clean. Please add more seating. Don't like the fact that there's nowhere to sit for larger groups or comfortable seating for elderly / disabled other than the wall bench.
Absolutely amazing selection of ice creams and wonderful staff; the red velvet flavour was amazing with buttery divine cake and delicious creamy ice cream. Louisa / Luisa was incredibly sweet and kind to me and the little boy I’m babysitting
Definitely not your typical Messina standard. Milk choc with choc fudge had zero fudge in it. Ordered two scoops, one scoop was much smaller than the other. Disappointing - might try out Collingwood or Brunswick to see if they are the same consistency. Missing the old Messina.
Love Messina, best gelato.
However prices are up and serving size is smaller.
Malvern store is an avoid. Smallest gelato serve of all melbourne messina stores. Shame messina. Bring back the love and messina generosity you are known for. Until then no Malvern.
And they've done it again! Messina has opened another great gelato store and it's just as great as any of their other stores. The gelato is as delicious as always, the service is super friendly and quick and the scoops are consistent with other Messina stores. It's in a convenient location, nestled on Glenferrie Rd and only a short walk from Malvern station (plus it's close to various tram lines). My only nitpick is that they sometimes play the music super loudly and although their music is very vibey, it can be a little overwhelming and off-putting. All in all, Gelato Messina Malvern is just as good as any other Messina store!
This is a nice store, great service, tasty ice cream.
Messina Head Office.
Let me remind you all, this is Australia. Stop trying to introduce a tipping system with signage. There are labour laws for fair work conditions/wages, and no further need for your corporate greed. If you enjoy tipping, please do business in America.
