Gelatissimo Lygon St

Very nice gelato! And the guy who served us was very friendly too! Try it out for dessert after your meal when you are next in Carlton.

It's the stickiest and most delicious gelato I've had in Australia.
This is gelato.
I asked if I could try one taste, and they gave me three, which was very kind.

The best Gelate I have ever eaten. Nothing beats a great tasting gelateafter a delicious Pasta or Pizza meal. Your taste bud's will be over the moon.

If you were on Lygon St on Sat. 22.4.23 at about 2pm and you saw a guy with a pink mullet smiling too much and stiffling giggles a little too - that was me eating a Gelatissimo ice cream. I had the sugar-free chocolate sorbet. At only 497kJ per single scoop, it suited my current intake restrictions but OMG do those 497 sugar-free kJ pack a punch! The vibrancy of the chocolate had a velvet sheen. So delicious. Great service, decent prices. Btw, having kJ info on the labels is super cool.

Their sugar free chocolate gelato was my first ever cold dessert in Australia in 2017. It hasn't changed in 6 years. Please keep it that way. God bless!

The hazelnut is delicious as is the rich fudgey brownie flavour. I love that they always rotate specials with exciting concepts like flavours around the world or Aussie flavours with a twist to keep the tastebuds excited

A lovely outing on Lygon Street that concluded with ice cream. Chose the best place! A big variety of flavours to choose from.lovely friendly staff and a comfy outdoor tabled area that looks out on the action of one of Melbourne's most vibrant streets. Will definitely go back!

You chan choose from a lot of flavors and they have begun one.

I ordered it twice through a delivery app, and their gelato is heaven. I love gelatissimo the most in Melbourne.

Wide selection and open late which made it a great choice at 10pm. Also has low sugar flavours which is great.

Well over priced. For Gelato? And not even very good quality, one regular sized scoop and cone (chocolate dipped) $6.40

Usually only options for vegans are the sorbets at Italian gelato places. But this one had a few plant milk flavours as well. And they were subtly sweet and absolutely delicious! This is my favourite place for ice cream now!

Seriously the owner needs to sharpen up on customer service….

Went in with my family we each ordered a 2 scoop waffle ice cream @ $7.20 each, the price isn’t a problem providing you get a double scoop.

The problem was they were more like 2 half scoops. When I mentioned it to the owner he got completely defensive and abruptly said it is what it is and loudly defending the rip off in front of a full shop.

I have been in business a while and I don’t like 1 star reviews, but responding to a customers concern in that way in my opinion is wrong.

It is pretty sad because I would even pay more for the ice cream, providing you get what you pay for.

Happy to chat about it with you guys but for now, sorry Gelatissimo we won’t be back.
