Geelong RSL

Very crowded today since it was Father's Day. We went in without a booking, but they were kind enough to allocate us outdoor seating. The kitchen was obviously too busy and we had to wait almost 45 minutes to get our lunch. Staff was friendly and nice.

Steak sandwich was tough and very disappointing, our orders were incorrect as the girl taking our orders did not understand. Whilst eating dinner a waitress decided to place the lunch menu for the next day on the table, then she asked “ are you done” to some of our guests then removed the empty plates. What is going on with the hospitality industry, why is their no care factor or professionalism anymore? Some of our guests were ready to hand in their memberships. On a good note the risotto and salmon was good.

Since the update and upgrade this RSL looks really great and the meals are great, well worth a visit.

Ordered from the menu and did not get what was asked for. Very poor employee response. Very unusual for an RSL.

First time back since the renovations, looks very good, meals were all fantastic, well worth becoming a member

There were 12 of us for lunch service was very good
4 out of 5 different meals had no flavour at all they were very bland disappointing please pass this on to the chef

Food was quick but disappointed that chicken wings had a spicy sauce which spoiled the meal. Liked the salad. Chili free options should be offered.

Great atmosphere and friendly service. Good value meals and being a member has a lot of benefits. Recently renovated.

Disappointed that the kitchen didn't do the little things like season the chips or put a dressing on the salad. It's the simple things that make a big difference.

Great venue with all the amenities available - Bistro, Bar, Pokies and some delicious food to make a memorable time with your mates.

Great place to have a meal and support a great Organization.still great place to have lunch with a cold beer.

Geelong RSL is currently undergoing a major refurbishment & makeover.
Two new entrances!
The gaming room has been moved to rear - near bowling green.
New toilets already done.
The jack hammer made for a temporary "war like" noisy environment for about 10mins.
It will be amazing when finished.
Bowling greens look good too.

Have been there before but today was sub level. Sat for over an hour before meals came out. They forgot one meal our friend still waiting when it was time to leave. They must have been having a bad day as had been before and it was ok. However staff were friendly and price was ok

Attended the Geelong RSL for a set menu meal with the options of porterhouse steak or chicken with veggies. The steak was overdone rump and the chicken arrived with salad. The friendly staff and good parking made the night more enjoyable.

Had a quick lunch on a Tuesday good value meals seniors /members discount only $10 per year membership to get discount on drinks and meals

Meal was delicious forgot how noisy some people can be. We had the late sitting and the table just behind were all trying to talk over each other always one person the loudest. Thought one had to leave the room if you were on early sitting.

We had an enjoyable time with a 3 year old grandson having a great time playing in the play area. Food was fairly good and a good time was had by all 4 adults as well.

Unfortunately the meals that we ordered we're not up to standard this is the first time we have gone out in a year and when spending over $100 for three people you would expect the lace but to have a meal that you could enjoy the meals come out cold the only thing that I could say about the steak that was ordered well that their mushroom sauce is absolutely beautiful but apart from that it wasn't that great at all the spaghetti bolognese was a good serving size for the price but didn't come with any dinner rolls eccetera actually we were presented with any dinner rolls at all there was also alcohol in our water as the judge was not clean properly you could taste beer in the jug of water not to mention the fact that my little sister drunk two cups of water before realising as we had soft drink mind you she is only a child so we weren't very happy with this outcome and didn't even get an apology I would highly appreciate if the restaurant could get back to me regarding this our reservation was for seven 10 and it was for Simone if you could get back to us as soon as possible regarding the alcohol being in the water and the meals being under standard I would highly appreciate that considering it with my mom's birthday we were very disappointed but on the upside the lady that took out orders was very nice and the cake was bought out on time thank god

Very disappointing as far as not getting what you asked for eg asked for spaghetti bolenaise and got fettuccine which was too hard to eat for the person and also asked for a pavlova with icecream and came out with fruit on top which was not on the menu also to hard for person who has swallowing problems. Also booked a table for 4 and told them that there was a wheelchair and a wheelie walker and they tried to put us in a booth which was ridiculous and also in the gaming room was so hard for the wheelchair and the walker to get around i believe it is a commercial business which i think has taken away the reason what an RSL is for the diggers who fought for our country God bless our diggers.

It was good, 1. People must sanitize your / wash your hands before sitting down 2.1st name and Mobile Phone Number for tracing and know the table number and surname to find your seat that you booked before hand under the current Covid 19 Restrictions guidelines for Clubs / Pubs from Bruce
