Geelong Gaol Ghost Tours (Twisted History)

Had such a good experience and learnt so much history at the same time, the tour guide kept us completely entertained!

My team Paracult and i have investigated the Geelong Gaol and Werribee Park so far for our YouTube channel. The team at twisted history are amazing and so full of knowledge and incredible energy. They are so friendly, and also lovely people to be around.i highly recommend the places we have been too because they are high with activity and also just amazing to be at.taking a step back into history is hard these days. But twisted history have done an amazing job by keeping places like this alive and relevant. We will be doing more with these guys and cannot wait to get to know all of you personally.

Loved the tour. Disapointed it wasn't longer and didn't go into the morgue but still well worth it. Guide was great and informative on the history. Thank you.

Was a historical tour in the dark and overpriced especially for children was expecting more excitement

We had a great tour guide to take us through the gaol. Very enthusiastic and friendly, shared the stories with our group in a way that was both scary, funny and emotional all in one. We all had a wonderful time. Would defiantly recommend.

Absolutely brilliant! Its hard for the kids of this generation to be interested in history but the way the night tour is conducted kept my boys engaged and on their toes! Thankyou so much! Definitely a place you need to do every tour to get the entire experience!

Was a great time.very eerie and lived up to the expectation. Mrs Smith was amazing on the tour.so much history I would have never known about the prison some very raw facts that were unsettling but so real for these times.definitely a must see if your not to scared!

Four of us went on the ghost tour and it was fantastic. The tour guide was outstanding and engaged everyone throughout, and the historic building provides a very different experience after dark. We all highly recommend the evening tour.

I went with my youngest daughter as she really wanted to do this, although a bit apprehensive. We did the 8: 00 pm session which started in daylight, the conductor/guide selected my daughter (number "6") to carry a lantern at the back of the group which she loved and really made her night. Very informative, and historically significant to the Geelong area. I can confidently recommend this tour to those seeking history, and maybe a spook on the side

We had an awesome experience! The tour guide was awesome and so passionate about his job. We came with a person with a disability and appreciated how the guide would involve him and made sure he had a good laugh.

We went last night 06/01/23. Sadly it was more of a history tour then a ghost tour.
Tour guide all be it he was great just way to much performing a role of an old guard.
We didn’t get a chance to explore and missed the outside court yard.
We were disappointment sadly

Amazing experience, Geelong Gaol was an item we wanted to mark off our list after visiting Aradale for a total of two night tours (one of which we attended the night before this) and one day tour, as well as visiting the J-Ward and the Old Melbourne Gaol.

We did not catch our tour guides name, she only referred to herself as the Matron of Geelong Gaol, she was very good at making our group focus and get in to the history and mystery of some of the stories, an amazing experience, although I have enjoyed Aradale far more than any other Old Gaol or Asylum I have visited before, although if you are specifically looking to visit an unnerving Old Gaol, this is the place to visit!

I took 2 of my kids on the Old Geelong Gaol Ghost Tour, ages 9 and 13. The Matron who ran the tour was very engaging, staying in character perfectly for the whole tour. A perfect mix of creepy and informative. Highly recommend!

I have done many ghost tours and my least favourite is when the guide/host becomes theatrical. This ruined my experience completely. Companies should mention this on the website when booking as I wouldn't waste my time and money then.

Also, many other tours give participants 10-20 minutes of free roaming time after the initial tour, this one doesn't provide that.

I don't recommend this tour

Great location, and an amazing original colonial prison. Not really a Ghost tour, more a history tour, but nothing wrong with that!
Recommended to anyone.
