My partner Stephen and I started off very unsure of what we wanted, except to end up married. We had been a couple for over 30 years and finally! We have the right to get properly married.
Bronte’s website impressed us, he said that many LGBTI couples don’t want a “straight” wedding, we want something that better fits our values and ideas.
After an initial chat with Bronte, we agreed - this is the celebrant we want for our wedding.

Bronte provided us with lots of help and information – guided us through the legal necessities for a wedding; a series of his blog posts were very informative; an e-book that included lots of advice about how to create the “structure” of our wedding; suggestions of wording, mostly from other weddings that Bronte has conducted. This was immensely helpful and gave us lots of “food for thought. ” Bronte helped us create a wedding plan that was very much “our own. ” One of the strengths of dealing with Bronte was that he gave us lots of suggestions for LGBTI-appropriate alternatives to regular wedding rituals. We really got the feeling that Bronte was helping us create a new blueprint, a “new normal” for gay weddings.

Bronte sent us regular updates on what we should be up to at each stage of the planning, and was really supportive when we ran ideas past him. Bronte showed great wisdom and insight with his advice. We wanted to include in our service an acknowledgement of past activists whose struggle won us the right to live openly and later the right to marry. I wrote the wording, Bronte helped me get the history right and gave the segment some polish. We ended up lighting a gorgeous rainbow candle to honour those who went before us, and telling a brief “gay rights history” for our (mostly straight) guests. Bronte also provided us with two beautiful and very appropriate poems to read during the wedding.

We met with Bronte over Zoom when planning the wedding, as we live quite some distance from Melbourne. At one Zoom meeting I mentioned we were thinking that, instead of catering for a meal after the service, we would ask our guests to each bring a plate of food to share, so that instead of a gift, everyone would contribute something to our wedding. There was a long pause and I started to think “Bronte is trying to think of a gentle way to tell me that it is a terrible idea…” Then he asked “Like country town events used to be – please bring a plate? ” “Yes, like that. ” Another pause… “I LOVE it. ” And so it was – and it was a big success, and lots of fun.

My partner and I don’t like fuss, pomp and ceremony. We wanted our wedding to be relaxed, casual and low-stress. Bronte listened to us and helped us create that, yet thanks to Bronte’s magic touch, it was still something really special. Many of our guests commented afterwards “that was the best wedding I’ve ever been to. ” One guest even said “best wedding ever, and that includes my own! ” That sums it up. We couldn’t be happier. We are now husband and husband. Thank you Bronte!

Wedding planning is not easy and the most important one to have to start with is a celebrant. I got a few recommendation from a good friend and Bronte Price has good profile and our first few correspondence went very well and just went through the vibe. Communication was very well organised, and details of information was laid down accordingly to make the process as smooth as possible. Since our wedding was done in our backyard, the plan was very casual and straight forward, but Bronte added a touch of his style through out our ceremony and what promised was delivered.

Truly exceptional. We have done our research and contacted celebrants in Australia but we have decided to go with Bronte and never regreted it. We had to change our dates a million times but Bronte was so patient and accommodated every favor we asked from him.

His support leading up to the wedding was very well structured, with regular check-ins and to-do reminders - and his approach to the ceremony structure was extremely flexible and thorough in helping explore and consolidate ideas that each of us was happy with. We are very thankful that Bronte put in so much time and effort into helping make our special day unforgettable!

To say our virtual meet with Bronte went beyond expectations would be an understatement. While my partner is the bolder half, I was still very much anxious and shy about the entire process. Bronte was very patient and reassuring throughout the entire call. He walked us through the entire process (next steps, what you can expect, best practices & suggestions).

On the day of the Ceremony, Bronte arrived at our AirBnb in a cute yellow sweater with a pride lapel pin, he was all smiles and it was just so great to meet him in person. He walked us and our witnesses through the process once more before we commenced.

Having Bronte who knew the ins and out of everything the ceremony entailed greatly eliminated the fear we had in taking this next step. He even offered his front yard for the ceremony and friends if we didn't have our own witnesses. The lengths Bronte is willing to take to make this event every bit as special and seamless for us was very comforting.

Bronte was our wedding celebrant in April which was a very good decision as his professionalism and personality made the whole process stress free. Not only was he the celebrant but also provided his services to help my fiencee's visa application successful by providing a letter of the planned wedding.
On the day of the wedding, a planned witness was running late which created a stressful situation, but Bronte handled this issue fantastically.
Overall the wedding ceremony was an amazing experience with my family and friends enjoying the great atmosphere which in a large way was thanks to Bronte.

Our ceremony was in Jan and we picked Bronte as our celebrant. He was so kind and helpful, everything he helped to prepare and arrange for our wedding was amazing!
